Hi, it's the bird-Edmond anon again! I'm glad you've been loving these one-shots I've written about bird Edmond, there's still a lot I want to write about so thank you so much. Your excitement and joy really motivates me. Also, your drawings of Edmond's parents are really good and I love them so much as well as the names you have given them. You really saved me on that so thank you, I loved the names. You even inspired me on coming up with a last name for them but that's a surprise for later.

I'm currently working on a Drabble but after submitting it, I think I will take up on your suggestion and post it to ao3, this is really fun and I think I want to do it more, plus it will give me the chance to improve my writing more. Though I will be hiding my account since I am kinda shy so I hope you understand. Again, thank you so much, making this au has helped me a lot and it's given me so much joy. As thanks, here are a few fun facts about the au as well as a concept event:

- The Winged are neither human nor yokai and while they are all distinct and unique like how birds are, they all share the common theme of having feathers, wings and a tail.

- The Winged have their own language based on chirps and whistles, a human can learn to speak it but there will be an obvious accent if they do.

- If there was an event based on this au, it would probably be called; Secret in the winds. The concept would be Edmond meeting a young Winged who leads him to a hidden haven for the Winged. Accompanying him are Eiden, Quincy who found the young Winged and Rei who's very interested in studying this supposedly extinct race. The costume theme would be inspired by Winged culture and generally has a bird/sky motif. Edmond's father will also be joining on this event and there can be some father-son bonding moments.

I gotta tell you: I'm HOOKED, LINE AND SINKER on this. aND I CAN'T WAIT TO READ WHICH IS GONNA BE THEIR LAST NAMES AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I just. I've been thinking about weddings lately (mainly bc of a question on the nu:ca reddit), and Eiden adopting Edmond's family name is melting my brain into EiEd goo OUGHHHHH TwT

NOW ONTO THE GOOD STUFF:

Your idea for an event is, and I'm not exaggerating or just saying this because I absolutely adore this AU, but it's my DREAM line up for an event. THOSE THREE???? TOGETHER???????????IN AN EVENT????????????????????????? amazing. I'm always down for more Rei, Quincy and Edmond interactions. AND we get Topper and Father too!

A-FUCKING-MAZING, I'M TELLING YOU. I LOVE THE NAME OF THE EVENT it sounds so well UGH. I can't quite picture anything for the outfits tbh, but some sort of aviator-inspired outfits would kinda fit the theme as well, no? "I don't have wings like you do, but I wanna be up there with you and try to understand your lifestyle firsthand. A bit steampunk-ish but with an aerial, natural feeling to it, if that makes any sense? I feel like Eiden, Rei and Quincy would try to create mechanical wings + essence or something.

I also wanna point out the fact that the Winged used to inhabit the light territory (IIRC) makes it a full circle. Think about it: in Chase The Rainbow, the traditional attires are called feather gowns. I don't know much about birds, but imagine if the summer festival had to do with something like migration or whatever. It's an even rounder circle!

We of course have Eiden, always supportive, not-judging and loving, we got Rei with his love for investigating AND could potentially be one of the Winged, we obviously got Edmond, our darling knight who I'm sure he'd fight back any weird poachers and/or nobles that want to harm his people and disguising it as just doing his job (but you can immediately tell there's more to it), and we got Quincy, who probably has some idea or heard about the Winged (back when he was young) and feels the need to protect them. (THIS IS ALSO FUELING MY LOVE FOR QUINED, BTW. So thank you <3)

That got me thinking...Would they all confront Edmond about any knowledge he has of the Winged that he so "casually knows"????? Would Guillaume have a sort of antagonistic role out of his own protective instincts for those of their race??? That'd be so cool honestly. Well, i don't think cool is the word, but you know what I mean dhsgkjad

AND THE WINGED LANGUAGE?????????????? Quincy can totally ace it, NO DOUBT. that's how he got the young winged to not fear him and help him. Rei's got it easy as well, but I think they both have a deep accent that they're not aware of; Quincy out of not using it, and Rei mainly because he just speaks to Father. Oh, and don't even get me started on Eiden- He's flopping so bad, but hey, he's trying his best and that means a lot.

do you think Father would sort of. get confused if Edmond says "Father? What are you doing here?" or the likes when Guillaume is nearby?????? that'd be so stupid but I'm living for it DHSGJDSAJDSAJDSAJ AND IMAGINE FATHER KNOWING ALL ALONG ABOUT THOSE TWO AND JUST. STARING DEEP INTO THEIR SOUL BUT NOT TELLING REI ANYTHING (not that he needs to; he'd eventually figure it out, just like he figures out the winged language)

THE LAST BIT SOUNDS SO CANON it's unreal to me you're not working with the devs to make this a reality. I can literally imagine the animation when pulling an SSR, you get Edmond and hear that "To be able to fly so freely... It's truly wonderful, don't you think?" OUGHHHHHH shut up, I'm in love. The name choice is SPECTACULAR as well. Unshackled Skyborn??????????? *inhales* AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA It's so fucking good OTL

What do you think the other unit names would be? I was thinking... perhaps "Antique Glide" for Rei, and "Feather Sentinel" for Quincy. And Eiden's outfit could be named "Firmament Affinity" uwu
