ive gotten into a fair amount of arguments with terfs over the years because i have disorders of the mind and love conflict on the internet machine

and many of them have said something to the effect of "you wouldnt think our views are so extreme/hateful/bad if you were an abuse/rape survivor too"

newsflash, asshole! i've been an abuse/rape survivor this whole goddamn time! i just dont use it as an excuse to be a fucking weirdo who obsesses over trans people 24/7! (partially because i am trans myself. but even if i was cis i wouldnt be like that towards trans people, especially trans women)

#rape //#transphobia //#ask to tag #'you would be uncomfortable with 'men' (trans women) going into womens restrooms if you were a victim too' nope i wouldnt be uncomfortable #because the kind of man who wants to assault someone *does not* dress up as a woman to sneak into a bathroom. there are easier ways that #they go after way more often.#youre just hateful and should go to therapy for your issues instead of fixating on trans people #sorry mate!#like genuinely i think a lot of terfs are just traumatized/otherwise mentally ill and are looking for a community to latch onto #and unfortunately this brand of terf seems very welcoming to people who have been hurt by men #dove talks #terfs if you interact with this post im just going to block you. dont waste your typing on me #or do idc but youre not going to get a debate. we fundamentally cannot agree.
