i think i'm going to make human designs for the main sonic the hedgehog characters just because. there's actually a lot of canonical information towards their ethnicities in all of the goddamn lore there is. it's almost insane

#did you guys know that according to SATAM lore sonic is egyptian?#and amy is heavily implied to be part echidna : meaning that when translating that over to real-world races #she's either part black (from a tropical rainforest + mountainous region of africa; likely around kenya? idk sonic lore is. hard to digest)#or indigenous to central america / historical mesoamerica as that's where the architecture of angel island is based on #and knuckles is an echidna and thus holds these same traits
