I think ultimately my thoughts on SotO will depend on how well, if at all, anet follows through with some of their setup.

Like how shady the wizards are — if at the end this is addressed, that would be great and would retroactively improve a lot for me! But if it’s just ignored and treated like they’re 100% fine and Isgarren is 100% justified and right, I…deeply hate that.

They have the bones of a good, interesting story, I just hope they follow through with it. I hope they’re ALLOWED to follow through with it. Having the wizards be so blatantly cult-like and shady and then not addressing that just leaves a bad taste in my mouth, so I really hope they pull the ending off decently because man I love this game.

Well I guess it’s my turn to post my opinions on the GW2 stuff since everyone is doing it.

The Good

I cannot tell you all how beyond excited I am about more Charr and Norn stuff. I might vibrate into a new dimension

Rytlock is a fan fave and it’ll be great to get more content for him

Braham is my husband and I’m weeping tears of joy about more content for him

The amount of stuff they’re implementing to help new people experience more of the game??? Is so awesome???

Like HoT now being a part of PoF makes it so much more affordable holy cow

And the mini raids are a great idea because I am baby and scared of big raids. Now me and all the other fools can get together and learn how to be not as scared of raids

Personally I love snowy areas in video games so this expansion is right up my alley

The new Charr in Rytlock’s story had a new face. Which means maybe new appearance updates for the Charr and the Norn???

Everyone they interviewed seemed super excited about what they’re working on which really leads me to believe this is gonna be some good story stuff

Bless them for putting literally the entire game soundtrack up somewhere that I can listen to it (it’s a pity I gotta pay for it but still. that’s so much music hell yeah)

Thrilled to see their monster designs are still as good as ever. 10/10 want to give the new world boss tummy scritches.

They didn’t decide to reuse old maps like they were thinking about thank god.

They said they have 4 teams working on different things now? Which means they can stagger updates between teams to give everyone more time and also give us the players less downtime between the updates this season? Hopefully?

The Bad

It was a pretty sparse update for something they hyped so much.

This is the first time since s1&2 that we’ve gotten a second season without an expac in between. So far it doesn’t seem like this season/sage will make up for no expac

It definitely needs to be said that they lost 1/4 of their staff before this season and I’m pretty sure a good chunk of their senior members. This hasn’t affected the quality of the work from what we can see, but it’s definitely affected the quantity

They did say something about this season giving us expac level content with this season a while back. It doesn’t look like that was true, but maybe the whole point behind calling it a saga was so they could work over a longer time period?

No new elite specs. I think having that alone would have really satisfied a lot of people (I know I would have been pretty happy about it)

People who are out there saying “dead game lol” are full of shit but I’m worried that GW2 might not be able to keep up with other popular mmos right now? Mainly FF14 comes to mind

New masteries seem like they’re going to be useful only on the maps they’re released in which is...eh.

If they talked about all the content they’re releasing and aren’t keeping anything secret, I really don’t think it’ll be enough to keep my interest (personally).

All in all my ending emotion on the stream was “I loved every word they said, I just wish they’d said more words.” Everything they showed us looked amazing to me. And I’m not angry at the devs for not giving “enough content” considering this is the first real update made entirely by the post layoff team. But I’m definitely a little disappointed at how bare this season seems at first look.

But this was also only a glance into the new season that hasn’t even been released yet. I would never want the game to fail and I will happily eat my words if the devs prove me wrong with the first few episodes.

Theres not that many so i’ll do it for all of them! Drez still needs a personality refinement so a lot of the answers are a bit bland im sorry1. Would they be recruitable? Absolutely2. Would they be a class specificcharacter? (ie. Imperial Agent only. Republic character only) They'd be a Bounty Hunter companion.       3. When would you recruit them? Vanillastory? an Expac? Post KOTET?  I haven't played enough to figure out what timeline was what, but i'd sayVanilla back when the hunting was good and because it's the most I’ve explored.    4. Where would you recruit them from? Man, probably somewhere obscenely dangerous! Maybe Quesh near theelevator. I'm not too sure but you'd be competing with him for a bounty.

5. What would their recruitment missionbe? Hard to guess because he still needsrefining, but probably pursuing the sith that was responsible for slicing thatarm off. (Tbh he'd probably have obliterated the guy in the same sitting butfor story purposes) 6. What would be their originalrecruitment outfit?His regular bounty hunting outfit but you have an optional skin thatshows him with exposed arms and a nice tiddy window, like his singlet.7. Would there be a character they don’tlike? Would that cause you to choose sides? They'd think Kharnox (if he also was anNPC) was annoying and try not to be anywhere near him because to him, Kharnoxis an annoying kid8. Are they romancable? Why/why not? It would literally be a crime not to beromancable, it's just finding a way to kiss him past the tiddies9. What would they say if you clicked onthem? Disinterested stuff like"Mmm?" "What?" and various, tired german phrases. Bonus: "Don't"10. Do they know any other in gamecharacters? (ie. trained under Satele Shan during the civil war. Knew Talosbefore he went to Hoth) He knows Kharnox, unfortunately11. What weapon(s) would they have? A massive shotgun-like cannon thing, or astraight up mini-laser gun12. Are they better as a tank, healer orDPS? They'd be better as a tank butcould also DPS13. What gifts do they Love? Like? Whatwould they say when you gave them a gift? Bullets,Lazer packs, certain articles of clothing. For a mundane gift he'd be"Yeah, alright thanks.", for a good gift he'd say "...This ispretty neat." and for a really great gift he'd say "Bloody Bantha,this is fantastic!"14. What would they say if you sent themaway/changed them out?  To bring them out: "Can you not do this by yourself?..." And tosend them away he'd say "Righto." He's not very sociable lol15. What do they say when theyheal you? What do they say when they are attacking? To heal "Watch it! Keep an eye on yourself!" And when theyattack, something grizzly like “Choke on your own blood!” or “Watch and learn.”16. What’s their idle chatter like? Dothey talk a lot (when you arrive on each planet) or do they suddenly saysomething in some strange places? They wouldn'ttalk too much, but for certain slums they'd break out with weird stories aboutpast bounties and for capitals they'd comment about how the dress code wasdesigned to accommodate people with small chests and at this point he feels discriminated.17. What letter’s would they send postvanillia class story/SOR/KOTFE They'd start off small, saying how wellyou held yourself together and how they'd impressed with how far you've come.If you romanced him, he'd send various supplies through the mail and eventuallylead up to a letter explaining how he's not a social man or one to really wearhis feelings, but let you know how he felt about you and how it made him betterat expressing himself.  18. If they are recruitable invanillia story, where are they during KOTFE/TET? What are/were they doing? Honestly, he would have likely been chasinga really big bounty, copped a hit too many and spent a while in colto until hebroke out because he hadn't finished the job 'like a real Bounty Hunter' andneeds to get back in league with you
