after going thru some of my sonic idw liveblogs ive realized that idw really is including more and more slice of life stuff as of lately. i hadnt noticed it truely as a trend until seeing it all laid out, but it makes me really happy and excited for future stuff :D

like all the examples i could think of for this i realized have all been pretty recent. winter jam, the sonic and blaze hanging out bonus story, the chaotix having dinner with vanilla and cream bonus story, the halloween special, the summer special... these have honestly been some of favorite bits in idw period so its really cool that it seems to be something theyre starting to do more!!
