one thing dad and I have in common is having gotten Abitur (I think it's the best (high)school certification you can get? necessary to get into uni) but not really making anything of it

well, he never went to uni, I am in uni but

#cylas speaks #society is always talking like unless you got Abitur you'll fail at life #yet my sister is (basically) fone with two apprenticeships #dad did/had to do vocational training and still has only been able to get jobs as temporary worker (he's 61 so that might be a reason too)#had been struggling in the past cause my mum was so unstable and unreliable so he'd go from only having us every second weekend #to us being with him fulltime #plus him losing some jobs cause of his attitude (guess where i got my issues with authority from lmao)#or... well. his kinda reckless driving when working for dhl lmao #so between him and mum not being able to keep a job cause alcoholism (relapsing)#i sure have and had great role models huh
