i’m rewatching The Rundown Job and just... the competency porn... the tenderness... the horror of watching it while a real life plague rages through the world...
it hits different

random-french-girl asked:
leverage :)
send me a tv series and I’ll tell you:
my all-time ultimate fave character: My sweet murder baby Eliot Spencer. I genuinely don’t have a dark past, but for some reason I find emotionally damaged and overprotective of others to be catnip
a character I didn’t used to like but now do: It took me a while to warm up to Jim Sterling, but damn, he’s such a good foil.
a character I used to like but now don’t: Really I don’t think anyone fell out of my favour
a character I’m indifferent about: Chaos, I guess. I like Wil Wheaton but the character is pretty hammy.
a character who deserved better: I read some great meta commentary recently about Alec Hardison and effectively that the writers didn’t give him as much - as much back story, as much focus. We never got to meet his family. I would have loved to meet Nana properly, not just a voice off-screen.
a ship I’ve never been able to get into: I didn’t hate Sophie/Nate but I wasn’t hugely invested in it either. I like both of their character growth, but unfortunately I have an alcoholic dad of my own, so Nate treads on a lot of buttons for me. I’m glad that their relationship was nuanced and definitely Sophie’s no saint either.
a ship I’ve never been able to get over: I will never be over the Parker/Hardison/Eliot ot3. ‘Til my dyin’ day, babies.
a cute, low-key ship: Tara/Sophie. Adorable grifter gal pals.
an unpopular ship but I still enjoyed it: I don’t know what ships weren’t popular. I’m bad at fandom.
a ship that was totally wrong and never should have happened: Had to consult with @mzrowan for this one - she reminded me about Sophie’s weird not-Nate not particularly interesting boyfriend at the beginning of season 2. Didn’t make sense; she’s so fabulous.
my favourite storyline/moment: Ahahah, the part in the Rashomon Job where Sophie’s accent as perceived by Parker is completely incomprehensible. Just the general “how everyone perceived each other” in that episode is totally golden
a storyline that never should have been written: I never made it through the White Rabbit Job. It just seemed really fucking creepy and not at all to my taste.
my first thoughts on the show: They made this just for me! This is seven hundred percent in line with my preferences.
my thoughts now: Goddamnit John Rogers and Dean Devlin, you made me believe that we can fight late stage capitalism, and now I have to actually do that? Bah.
