18

18 is the only song Ed Sheeran wrote specifically for One Direction, and only one he wrote from their perspective. To me, it refers to I Wish You Would which Taylor wrote about Harry while on the Red Tour with Ed. Like Tenerife Sea, I think it is about Taylor from Harry's perspective. The Spotify vertical video focuses on Harry and Zayn who primarily sing it:

To Smallzy in September, 2014 Ed said, both that his songs are generally about a specific person and he also talked about writing 18 for One Direction:

"I wasn't gonna do it again because there was lots of ..ah.. basically, my record label got very annoyed that my first #1 was a song that I gave to someone else, and they were kind of like "don't do it. I did Britain's got Talent and basically Simon Cowell invited me up to eat and talk. And he mentioned it and in my head I was like 'I just just want to focus on my stuff' and the next day I was in Copenhagen and I got an idea and I kind of went into the shower room that's big and reverbartive and I wrote it thought that sounds like something for them. It's not something I would use for myself. It was written specifically for them and it's cool" Smallzy asks about Taylor he if he had helped with 1989, Ed "that's all her, all throughout of her doing it I heard little bits of it all throughout. Everything she does is a certain quality, it is going to satisfy any fan of hers."

Simon Cowell tells a similar story. Taylor also told Ryan Seacrest and others she played 1989 to Ed while on the Red Tour together.

The '...ah...' it is interesting, because although Ed and Harry stayed close, Ed did not write a song for Midnight Memories. There is a rumour this is about Don't. Ed did write Tenerife Sea, another song from Harry's perspective about Taylor in 2013 - that's on Ed's Multiply. This helps determine which Britain's got talent appearance he was referring to.

Timeline

Ed was on Britain's Got Talent twice, both were live shows, which narrows down when this song was written to 2 days, the day after:

8 June, 2013, Ed and Taylor performed Everything Has Changed together, or

27 May, 2014, Ed performed Sing.

Either is possible, but I am inclined to focus on 2014, because it's on Four and Ed did not write for Midnight Memories, which June would have made. In May 2014:

24 May 2014 Ed and One Direction both performed on the main stage of the Radio 1 Big Weekend in Glasgow. Harry and Taylor were seemingly back together. 2 squad members, Lorde and Lily Allen, also played. Taylor was in New York that morning then disappeared for 6 days, Harry off 3 of those.

25 & 26 May 2014 - ED & Taylor MIA, 1D have a few days off, Harry is seen in London playing a celebrity football game.

27 May 2014 - Ed performs on Britain's Got Talent in London, Taylor and Harry MIA.

28 May 2014 - Ed said he wrote the song in Copenhagen the next day, he wasn't seen. 1D UK show, Taylor still MIA.

5 June 2014 - Ed seen in London, Simon Cowell said he gave him the song a week after Britain's Got Talent.

Live Performances

Ed has never performed 18, he has performed other songs he gave to other artists, it may be that it was never written for him or it could be that others charted higher. One Direction added 18 to the OTRA setlist with No Control on 13 June 2015, replacing One Thing. It hasn't been on any solo 1D concert setlists. (It's at 33 mins here)

Since we were 16 honey

Harry once said “I have love you since we were 16 honey” after the chorus. Noting the song was only performed June - December 2015 I think Harry is taking the piss of Louis and Larries. 1D met industry people in LA before he turned 17 and Taylor was in town there, and there were times in late 2015 Harry and Taylor were in the UK and seemingly in contact with Colour IG posts and Haylor surprise songs from Taylor, so while Harry did potentially know Taylor at 16 I think this line is trolling .

Lyrics

I got a heart, and I got a soul Believe me, I will use them both We made a start Be it a false one, I know Baby, I don't want to feel alone

The opening verse is about a relationship that ended (false start) and not wanting to feel alone. To me, this is referring to the events of 2012/2013 and that relationship ending, Ed, being good friends with Harry while on tour with Taylor, hearing 1989 as it was written would have been keenly aware. He wrote Tenerife Sea in that time.

This verse, like the song to me sounds like it is written for Harry's voice. The verse is describing someone close to the narrator that ended. Later, in Olivia Harry sings of being alone "When you go and I'm alone"

So kiss me where I lay down My hands pressed to your cheeks A long way from the playground

The end of this verse 'long way from the playground' tells us this is a love that started when they were young. Taylor uses school and childhood as a metaphor for One Direction and this young love, including in the MV for EHC which Ed co-wrote, and Suburban Legends.

I have loved you since we were 18 Long before we both thought the same thing To be loved and to be in love All I can do is say that these arms Are made for holding you, oh-oh I wanna love like you made me feel When we were 18

The 1D boys all dated people different ages to them, however Harry and Taylor started officially dating when Harry was 18. I think Ed's simplified this to 'we were 18'.

"Long before we both thought the same thing", to me, is referring to I wish you would and the way Taylor described it. IWYW was written 27 May 2013 while on the US Red Tour with Ed who was likely to have heard it then.

The end of the Chorus is telling us this is a relationship that had come back, much like Taylor had written Style a few months earlier.

We took a chance God knows we tried Yet all along, I knew we'd be fine So pour me a drink, oh love And let's split the night wide open And we'll see everything we can Living love in slow motion, motion, motion

This verse is so much like Harry and Taylors later work which makes me think it must be a referring to a conversation or pattern:

Drinking

Satellite: We share the last line / Then we drink the wall / 'Til we wanna talk

Fine Line: We'll get the drinks in and I'll get to thinking of her

Time and slow motion

Olivia: And time is irrelevant when I've not been seeing you

Gold Rush: I don’t like slow motion, double vision in rose blush

Midnight Rain: My boy was a montage, a slow motion love potion

“Slut!”: Half asleep, taking your time in the tangerine neon light

So kiss me where I lay down My hands pressed to your cheeks A long way from the playground

Harry's unreleased Lay down also has arms around his muse, without knowing a clear era for Lay Down the inspiration could go either way with those. "Lay down with me (I put my arms around ya)" I am inclined to think Harry referenced Ed.

TIMELINE: Houses (2011-2015)

Where exactly did Harry live in 2011-2015? Let’s recap for Ben Winston’s sake. For @cathuniverse, @bromanceshmomance, @srslycris, @daysundercover and all the anons in my inbox who asked. 

13 September 2011 (First Single Release Week) - MTV UK, citing the Sun, reports “One Direction to get lavish London apartment each!” Says they “will soon be moving out of their parents houses to live in a series of lavish London apartments - courtesy of their boss Simon Cowell.” It said Liam, Niall and Zayn would get their own apartment, but Harry and Louis would share.

5 January 2012 (UK Leg of UAN Tour Resumes) - The Daily Mail (and several other outlets) report Harry and Louis are buying Ashley Cole’s former home, the flat they were renting in Princess Park Manor. This originated with Mark Meets, an independent entertainment reporter in the UK, saying Louis and Harry wanted to buy a flat in Chelsea, which is not the area where Princess Park is located. Ashley Cole played for Chelsea Football Club, so that may be where the confusion lies.

25 February 2012 (Beginning of American UAN promo) - The Sun reports Harry moved out of the Princess Park flats and into a condo in London he bought for £575,000. 

6 March 2012 - Gordon Smart again publishes an article saying Harry bought a condo in London he bought for £575,000 with a Japanese Zen garden.  

7 March 2012 (7 Days Before American release of UAN) -  Flat supposedly put up for rent according to later reports.

6 April 2012 (Same week as SNL/Australian leg of UAN tour) - A series of articles is published on celebrity gossip sites like Sugarscape saying Louis and Harry still live together when they’re not on tour.

23 April 2012 (12 hours after Wellington/End of Australian UAN tour) - Daily Mail reports that “Former One Direction bachelor pad back on the market for  £5,000 per month.” [Reports in January said they were paying  £5,000 per week.] The article says it was listed as a “rental property” on 7 March 2012, which was right at the beginning of the American promo tour for Up All Night.

5 July 2012 (End of UAN tour) - Harry is papped out in London with Lou Teasdale and a real estate agent looking at property just 4 days after the end of the Up All Night tour and while Louis was on holiday in France with Eleanor and his family. 

6 July 2012 - Capital FM article published saying Harry was looking to buy in Primrose Hill, probably based on where he was papped the day before.

16 July 2012 - The Daily Mail reports Harry was looking for a house in Primrose Hill earlier in the month (5 July) but that the house wasn’t for him, and he was still looking. They add “And let’s not forget that Harry already owns a £575,000 flat in East London...” The Mail says Liam was also looking for real estate at the time in Primrose Hill after Simon Cowell gave all the boys a £2 million bonus each following their tour in the U.S, though it’s possible this was an advance on the second album, and not a “bonus.” The article also mentions “Louis has just finalised a deal on a £2.5 million, four-storey house in North London.” 

21-22 July 2012: Harry & Louis were pictured at a hotel together.

August 2012 - Harry buys white house in Hampstead Heath area of London, now formally known on Google maps as “Erskine House,” which is, amazingly, what Harry named his record and touring companies. Super clandestine. 

27 September 2012 (Beginning of TMH Album Promo) - The Mirror reports Harry has bought the Hampstead Heath house in North London and calls it the “perfect party pad.” In the article, they say Harry used to live in the “gritty East End” of London that he bought in 2011 and cost $575,000 [no story published in 2011 can corroborate this claim]. The Mirror quotes a source saying “a lot of Harry’s friends live in Primrose Hill and Belsize Park, so he wanted to move closer to them,” meaning Nick Grimshaw and that crew. It goes on to say Harry told pals he was throwing a huge house-warming bash. The Daily Mail publishes a similar article with the same claims: moving from East London flat to “palatial pad,” calls it a “party palace.” 

16 October 2012 - Variety publishes an article about the house with pictures of the inside and outside and the actual floor plan, saying it sits “hard up on the street” meaning directly on the street. Variety provides a small addendum at the end of the story saying the claim Harry “lives --or live in--a swanky East London flat” is based on reports from numerous celebrity-based gossip blogs and glossies, but no source of the information can be found.

1 November 2012 - In an interview with Radio KissKiss, Louis says “We all, like, have our own private homes and we think it’s really important to keep our privacy there. And, actually, no one knows where we live. Hehehe.” 

8 November 2012 (4 Days before TMH is released) - Celebs Now (then written by Dan Wootton) reports Louis says he and Harry no longer live together, but there was no friction and they still get on really well.  

14 November 2012 (Same Week TMH is released) - It was announced Morgan Spurlock would be doing a “documentary” about One Direction to be released 23 August 2013.  

1 February 2013 - First mention of Harry living at his “mates’ houses.” Ed told WPLJ-FM in New York City “The strangest thing about Harry is he lived at my flat for a while, but he had a house, he had two houses… this was like a couple of months ago. He had two very posh houses in London and he’d just come and stay.” 

24 February 2013 (UK Leg of TMH Tour/LFW) - Harry is seen buying vintage decor at a shop in North London, conveniently in the middle of the UK leg of the Take Me Home tour.

5 April 2013 - Morgan Spurlock tweets picture of Harry in bed at presumably Ben’s house in the attic. 

14 April 2013 - The Daily Star reports Harry’s neighbors hate him for blocking their car bays with his many luxury cars at his East London flat. They say it only comes with 1 parking space, but reports at the time it was announced he bought the house said it came with a double car lift and enough space to park 4 cars. 

19 September 2013 (LFW) - The Star reports Harry “enjoys sleepovers at Nick Grimshaw’s flat.” “SINGER Harry Styles’s bromance with gay DJ Nick Grimshaw is so strong that he has been sleeping at his flat for almost a week.” 

16 December 2013 - Harry wins court order against paparazzi. “ Court orders photographers to stop pursuing singer, placing him under surveillance or loitering within 50 metres of his home.” 

30 December 2013 - Meredith and Harry papped walking dogs together at Hampstead Heath park. 

21 February 2014 (Break before WWA Tour) - Harry buys first house in Post Office area of Los Angeles via Bubblegum Trust.

14 March 2014 - The Daily Mail reports Harry bought the house in Los Angeles. 

23 May 2014 (Post Weedgate Week) - The Daily Mail reports Harry had spent  £500,000 to date renovating the Erskine house by adding on an extension and a state-of-the-art underground car park for his fleet of sports cars.

17 February 2015 (Beginning of OTRA tour) - Yahoo! UK reports it’s taking so long for Harry to renovate his Erskine house because “he’s attempting to build an actual London pub inside it.” 

1 November 2015 (Promo for Made in the A.M.) - The Sunday Times does an interview with One Direction where they quote say: “After Styles bought his big house in north London “in about 2011”, he filled it with builders and ended up moving into the attic room of the producer Ben Winston (son of the genetic scientist, Robert) and his wife for 18 months. “That saved me,” he says. “I was only supposed to be with them for three weeks. Nobody knew where I was — that can actually, sometimes, be possible.” So print Harry was saying He stayed with Ben from approximately August 2012-February 2014. 

18 April 2017 (Release of Harry’s first Single) - Rolling Stone says “Styles had just moved out of his family home in Cheshire, an inconvenient three hours north of London. He found a home he liked near the Winstons in Hampstead Heath. The new house needed two weeks of work. Styles asked if he could briefly move in with Winston and his wife, Meredith. "She agreed," Winston says, "but only for two weeks."” “For the next 20 months, one of the most desired stars on the planet slept on a small mattress in an attic.” So that means, it was August 2012-April 2014. 

What does this all mean? 

HOUSES AS PROMO FODDER: I wanted to disprove Ben, specifically, when I began this timeline, but looking at it now, the obvious ebb and flow of the “house” narrative with the beginning and ending of major promo times is hilariously obvious. I think it served 2 purposes: try to make “Larry Stylinson” seem like a bachelor pad bromance and paint all of the boys as middle class kids who made it big after their first album and bought big houses and a lot of cars. 

WHAT TIMELINE?: The timeline of the Ben story itself has changed over the years. In its most recent form (April 2017), Ben says Harry stayed with them 20 months. If we assume this begins in August 2012, that means Harry lived with them so much they were “gutted” when he left in April 2014. 

WHAT EAST LONDON FLAT: What the fuck East London flat were people talking about in 2012? He supposedly bought it right before he went on a 4 month tour of America and Australia and America again, then upon returning immediately bought the Erksine House, but didn’t live in it for 3 years and lived with Ben? Nobody ever reported that he sold it. Just that he bought it.

WHY WERE THEY AT A HOTEL: Why were Harry and Louis at a hotel in July 2012 if they’d both recently bought houses? Harry couldn’t stay with Ben until August? But Niall was still living in the Princess Park flats, so was it just Harry and Louis who couldn’t be seen there together since it was reported they’d moved out? WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS ABOUT? 

LOUIS MOCKS THE NARRATIVE: In early November 2012, Louis, on video, said “nobody knows where we live” and laughed in a smug manner. Was he talking about Harry living with Ben and Meredith only? Because everyone else’s houses, including Harry’s own, got announced in the press, sometimes to the point they included pap pics, neighborhoods with nearby landmarks and even floor plans. 

DECOR???: Harry was seen purchasing decor like clocks, flags, a vintage cash register and a pair of animal horns in February 2013, but for what house? If he was staying with Ben and Meredith, why was he buying decor? Where did the decor go, because it wasn’t seen in the attic when he was filmed there for This Is Us.

WHERE WAS HARRY SLEEPING: Ed said in February 2013 that Harry had 2 houses but lived for a while with Ed “a couple of months ago.” In April 2013, Morgan Spurlock tweeted a picture of him in Ben’s attic waking up like he lived there. In September 2013, it was said Harry enjoyed sleepovers at Nick Grimshaw’s flat and had his own spare room. So did Ben and Meredith just get Harry every other weekend and on holidays? 

HARRY MOCKS THE NARRATIVE: On 1D Day, which aired 23 November 2013, Harry mocked his vagabond portrayal by saying “I don’t have a house, so no food.” 

GOGGLEBOX???: On 18 November 2013, Harry asked the Access Hollywood interviewer if they’d ever seen Gogglebox. The interviewer asked “When do you get a chance to watch it?” And Louis responded “Well, when we’re home - when we work from London.” So did he mean when he and Harry were staying in Ben’s attic or sleeping in Nick’s spare room or on Ed’s couch? 

HARRY GETS AN INJUNCTION: What house did Harry get an injunction against? Typically, you can’t get an injunction against a house that you do not own. Are we to assume he got an injunction at a house at which he was temporarily squatting in the attic? 

HARRY GETS PAPPED: 2 weeks after he got the injunction, he got papped in Hampstead Heath with Meredith Winston walking dogs. So am I supposed to think he got an injunction against the paps for a house and then went and got papped near it? Or did Meredith come to Harry’s Erskine House with some dogs and get papped near it? 

THE RENOVATIONS: In May 2014, it was formally reported that Harry was doing major renovations to the Erskine house, including moving the location of the kitchen, adding on and building a new car park. In February 2015, Yahoo! reported it was still being renovated. But Harry and Ben have both said Harry moved out sometime around March or April 2014. Are we supposed to assume Harry never slept in London from April 2014-whenever the Erskine House was ready for people like Tess and Camille to post from at convenient times? 

Anyways, this entire timeline is a mess. I don’t think Harry ever stayed at Ben’s more than a night or two. And Ben has turned that into a “family home” story about how close he is with Harry but also how many people Harry fucked in his attic. And that “family home” narrative is actually one that Harry and Louis started about their own flat in August 2011, so that’s that on that.

Cada cultura tiene su propia mitología, como la griega, romana y la egipcia que son los más conocidos. Pero culturas como la nórdica y la japonesa son muy interesantes también de investigar ya que habían sido influidas por otras regiones. Un ejemplo de la influencia de mitología, bueno es una mezcla entre mitología e ideas de los días modernos, son los “Zombis”. No los zombis de "The Walking dead" o cualquiera de esos zombis, pero los originales.

Zombis, conocidos como los muertos vivientes son quebrados en tres ramas, pero todos tienen un inicio. Todo inicia a los inicios de las practicas espirituales del oeste de África.

El zombi salió de la religión de voodoo, el voodoo antes de que Hollywood y Disney cambiara la idea de que es voodoo. ¿Ahora de dónde vengo con esto del Zombi? Bueno, es zombi en el voodoo no es el mismo que el que conocemos hoy en día.

Hace 4 siglos, entre los inicios de las practicas espirituales africanas las leyendas aparecieron en el oeste de África donde hombres, mujeres y niños fueron forzados a la esclavitud. Los españoles en el año 1502 embarcaron y llevaron a africanos a la isla de española, lo que conocemos como Haití.

Muchos africanos fueron mandados allí para trabajar como agricultores porque la demanda de café y otros productos era alta.

Los esclavos de Santo Domingo, la isla La Española (Hispaniola) eran de muchas diferentes religiones que eran diferentes, pero como estaban forzados estar allí crearon una nueva religión para poder unirse con sus diferentes puntos de vistas y experiencias.

Para los que practican el voodoo ahí muchas especificaciones, pero lo importante de saber es que lo relacionado al vodu y el voodoo es que el cuerpo es un muñeco echo de carne y hueso que el alma está controlando, compuesto por el ti bon ange (conciencia, es la personalidad) y el gros bon ange (control del cuerpo). Ambos de estos se pueden robar. aquí es cuando llega el zombi.

Un Bokor (normalmente puestos como malos) pueden atrapar el ti bon ange en una botella haciendo que pudieran controlar al cuerpo por mientras que tuvieran la alma de la persona.

Zombis Haitianos son completamente diferentes a los zombis que conocemos (muertos, desgarrados y podridos), pero son los cuerpos de las personas, son la cascara de quienes eran, no tienen emociones, ninguna habilidad de sentir dolor o expresarse. En resumen, son muñecos que no se quejan y siguen órdenes. Aquí pudimos ver como sucesos influenza sucesos, tal vez ocurran de forma incorrecta o de forma espontánea, pero no quita que sean influenciados.

Hai mucha más historia e influencia sobre esto, pero es más interesante investigarlo ya que tiene una historia oscura y triste de porque nació el zombi que conocemos hoy en día.

Retrato, creo grabados, esculpo, me hago performer para aproximarme, comprender y contar historias: la mía como víctima y la de otras víctimas asesinadas, desaparecidas, exiliadas, retornadas e ignoradas, como también las de sus familiares y la sociedad en general. Mi obra es directa y casi teatral. Me asumo emocional, doy gran significancia al lenguaje oral y visual; para re-conocer al otr* como autentic* me soporto en investigaciones etnográficas propias; reflexiono en torno a la cultura, los derechos humanos, los derechos sexuales, la identidad y cuerpo, todo ello inmerso en el conflicto armado colombiano y el proceso de Paz.

2 - Statement del proyecto

Narra el hecho de ser víctima en el conflicto armado colombiano. El dolor de serlo es el eje reflexivo artístico y performativo. Proceso introspectivo sobre la experiencia personal como víctima de un atentado con granada, múltiples amenazas de muerte que se extendieron a la familia, el desplazamiento forzado, la experiencia del exilio, la separación de la pareja, todo ello ampliado a otras víctimas y desaparecidos, y, su relación con el dolor del duelo familiar, la afectación  física y emocional producida por causa de la violencia ejercida por los diferentes actores del conflicto, incluyendo el abandono por parte del estado.

Los elementos que me interesaron es sobre todo es la composición de la casa, pues es un elemento rústico y algo desordenado que al combinarlo con el entorno del bosque le da una apariencia de antiguo.  

Los elementos que quise retomar de esta referencia es la apariencia de los árboles, pues si bien no son muy detallados, es en sus forma o torcedura lo que nos brinda una apariencia oscura o tenebrosa de noche que puede transformarse y no ser tan aterradora de día al agregarle más luz y diversos elementos que pudieran hacerla más alegre como flores, insectos o mariposas que pueden complementar el ambiente y darle un contexto diferente.

Los elementos que quise retomas de en esta referencia es sobre todo la ubicación de la casa, pues al estar rodeada de árboles y no tener otra casa o construcciones al rededor nos permite obtener el contexto de que la casa se encuentra en medio del bosque, lo cual a su vez me permite hacer una transición más rápida en cuanto  a la transición del personaje y las actividades que desea realizar sin tener que crear un escenario más grande o más complejo para representar lo que quiero.

Finding Topic Research

Finding the topic to be one of my research is not difficult. Because when you do a research, you have some problems in your mind, you have problems around you, or I can say at least the problem is with you. Talking about the topic, I would like to investigate in the field of literature. Because the academic subject I am interested in is Literature. Since I was in elementary school, I love reading so much. I love to read short story, novel, and poetry. Now, I am collaborating with someone (my friend) to create a poetry book. This project have been worked since the last September.  I hope this project could be done in the first new year in 2018, Aamiin.

Back to the first topic, I am one of bibliophile. Having a lot of books become one of the happiness for me. My wanted list to have is also in the field of literature. So because of that matter, I would like to analyze one of poetry book that is come from Rupi Kaur.

Rupi Kaur  is a Canadian poet, illustrator, and performer of Indian descent. She self-published the book titled Milk and Honey in 2014. Then in 2015, the book was picked up by McMeel Publishing. The book deals with theme of violence, abuse, love, loss, and femininity. As of 2017, it has sold over a million copies; it reached number one on the New York Time bestseller list. 

Kaur's first book is an anthology titled Milk and Honey. A collection of poetry, prose, and hand-drawn illustrations. The book is split into four chapters. Each chapter deals with a different theme.The sections are titled "the hurting", "the loving", "the breaking", and "the healing". She designed the book from cover to cover, illustrating pictures that were woven in with her words. The book was on the top-seller list for Canadian literature on Amazon. It also landed in the number two spot on Amazon's bestseller list for poetry. The collection made it to the New York Times bestseller list and remained on it for 52 consecutive weeks. As of April 2017, it has sold over a million copies.

As of June 2017, Milk and Honey has been translated into over 25 languages, including a popular Spanish edition translated by the famous Spanish writer Elvira Sastre entitled, Otras Maneras de Usar la Boca.

No era una cuestión de que LeBron no le dejara, sino pura practicidad. Si tienes a un tipo que lleva una década marcando al equipo desde la posición de alero, y haciéndolo bien, lo lógico es seguir insistiendo. A los Cavs, en definitiva, no les hacía falta un creador. Cuestión distinta son sus funciones en defensa, a priori bastante limitadas por lo que hemos visto. Irving nunca ha pasado de los 1,5 robos por partido, su balance en defensa con él en cancha es plano con respecto a otros cambios, y si acaso ha destacado como taponador de su par en situaciones en las que ya se había visto desbordado. Quizá por eso, y a pesar de sus números y de ser el base titular de un equipo finalista, rankings como el de Sport Illustrated sigan poniendo delante de él a una ristra de bases importante: Stephen Curry, Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul, John Wall, Damian Lillard, Mike Conley y Kyle Lowry. El siguiente base tras él, para hacernos una idea, es Kemba Walker, que ya sí que parece claramente en otra división inferior. Sobre Irving y su encaje entre los mejores bases de la liga merece la pena también otro punto de vista. Con él hemos pasado de los Cavs en los que se peleaba por ver quién se la tiraba con Waiters antes de la llegada de LeBron, a estar bajo su sombra cuando solo contaba con 3 años de profesional. Otros bases llegados a la liga, como Wall o Lillard, han tenido una carrera en la que sus franquicias han construido en torno a ellos, lo que seguramente les haya ayudado -y forzado- a ser más completos o fracasar. Aunque no han ganado un anillo, eso sí. Su eclosión como jugador total por lo tanto depende de su encaje en los Celtics. Y ahí tenemos dos problemas: el primero se llama Isaiah Thomas. Si los Celtics lo han fichado es porque creen que puede ayudar a compensar la pérdida de anotación que han dejado atrás al intercambiar al pequeño base. Thomas -y es una burrada- promedió el curso pasado 29 puntos, así que se espera que Irving anote, y mucho, lo que podría relegarle a un rol similar al que tenía en Cleveland. El segundo es Gordon Hayward, para muchos -también para el ranking de SI- a día de hoy mejor jugador que Irving, y otro alero que acostumbra a tratar muy bien el balón y los tiempos del juego, al igual que LeBron. Quizá los Celtics por lo tanto no sean el mejor equipo para que Irving deje ver esa otra faceta de su juego que todavía no hemos visto y que le podría hacer colarse entre el Top-5 de su posición en la liga. O quizá la despliegue pese a todo y los Celtics sean un superequipo de verdad. No obstante, para eso lo han fichado. Lo único que sabemos a día de hoy es que ver cómo encaja en su nuevo equipo va a ser de lo más interesante de seguir en las primeras semanas de la temporada. Y que la Tierra no es plana, claro.
