season 1

luci came into the house after only living in obx for 5 months, so besides the few kook friends she had, she didn’t really know much about the rivalry. she is a closeted bisexual, so being stuck inside the house with naomi ended up being a lot harder than she thought it would be. it also caused a lot of tension between her and ezra since she was keeping it a secret from him. this ended in luci using cocaine again and throughout the break afterwards.

season 2

despite a very private relationship with naomi over the break, luci went back into the house pretending to be single so that audiences wouldn’t speculate, even going so far as to hook up with apollo. all of this lead naomi to break up with her. between that, and seeing her other ex, isco, for the first time since their break up, luci drugs problem started spiraling out of control. realizing she had hit rock bottom, luci stopped using drugs and started spending a lot more time with apollo.

pre season 3

after season 2, luci traveled back to her hometown in italy, this time bringing her best friends ezra, and connor with her. her and apollo decided to continue their relationship, keeping it an open relationship since they were on other sides of the world. with only a few weeks of break left, luci traveled back to america to stay with her ex, isco and help him sober up.

EARLY YEARS

Ethan Wood was born and raised to do one thing and one thing only: play soccer. Being the middle child of legendary University of North Carolina starting forward, Ollie Wood and renowned athleisure wear designer Daphne Wood, there was only one path for this budding young soccer prodigy. And it was to follow in daddy’s footsteps donning the prestigious Carolina blue and white of his father’s alma mater. 

His childhood was pleasant, raised on his family’s estate in the coveted Eight and filled with family getaways and father/son trips to UNC/Wake Forest rivalry matches. Matches that he hoped to one day play in. Young Ethan was a natural talent and he picked up the game rather quickly, spending every free moment practicing in the yard or scribbling down strategies. He wanted nothing more than to make his father proud and carry on his legacy. 

HIGH SCHOOL

Ethan was sent to one of the finest private schools on the island that money could buy. Of course, he wasn’t there for his grades and what he lacked in brains, his skills on the field made up for. He made varsity soccer his freshman year and then went on to become captain during his senior year, reveling in all the perks that came with being a star athlete: parties, hookups, popularity. As Ethan’s athletic abilities along with his ego continued to grow, so did his competitive edge, arrogance, and hot temper which is known for getting him into trouble on and off the pitch. 

COLLEGE

It’s no secret that in the OBX money talks and Mr. Wood had deep pockets. A library donation and a legacy later, Ethan finally realized his dream and secured a spot on his beloved UNC soccer team. It didn’t take long for him to become the frat star worthy of his reputation. Sure, he had to overcome those pesky freshman years, team hazing, and locker room banter, even spending the half a season on the bench for his hot headed temper. Nonetheless, he managed to make a name for himself, even if slightly tarnished by his latest shags or alcohol induced brawl.

PRESENT

Ethan’s back in the OBX for the summer, fresh off his college graduation. He has his sights set on playing professional soccer in the upcoming season, but is looking forward to one last hurrah before entering the real world in the fall. And what better way than being cast in a reality tv show?

Ethan got into his fair share of Pogues vs Kooks scuffles back in high school. Nights fills with stupid boyish banter, booze, and blows. He likes to think he’s above all the rivalry now— college grad with his sights set on playing pro ball and all—  but struggles to truly let go of the past and be the bigger person. -  born and raised in outer banks just like every family member that came before her. no one in her family has left in generations, and even suggesting it leads to a fight in her household. her parents run a small bar on the bad side of town, tammy’s tavern (tammy’s her mom, her dad named it after her, its all very romantic), and they’re sure as hell proud of it, no matter how bad business can be. 

- kaia has always been expected to be a good girl. make the grade, keep out of trouble, and never think about leaving unless its forty minutes away to a good north carolina college. of course, she learned early how to be sneaky. 

- she doesn’t get into trouble, per se, but she definitely has some extracurriculars her parents wouldn’t approve of- despite the fact they run a bar. it doesn’t make any sense to her either. 

- despite their strictness, they have a very open household. they’re always telling kaia to invite the other pogues over for dinner, or to the bar, they’re a family who loves to take care of everyone else. and what’s a better way than through their stomachs? 

- kaia inherited that from her parents, she’s always mom-ing everyone, even if she does it with a snarky comment and an eyeroll. she’s always the last to leave the party, making sure everyone got home (or wherever else) safely. 

- her dream is to get as far away from outer banks as possible and become a screenwriter, but she has no idea how to make it a reality. she knows it would cause an uproar, and she doesn’t want to lose her family. that’s why she works two jobs, to be able to afford to help pay the bills and throw some money into savings in case she ever decides to pursue her dream. 

- this is also why she agreed to join the show, she figures if she can make enough connections maybe someone will take the time to read her screenplay and give her a shot. and that the money that come with it will make her family forget all about the fact that she’s left home. maybe she’ll even be able to afford to buy them a house right next to the kooks. 

- speaking of the kooks, she hates them. she hates the way they flash their money, and the way they look down on her parent’s bar. she nannies for a kook family, so she knows first hand how they live, and it disgusts her to see anyone living with such a surplus while her family struggles to keep the lights on most months.

EARLY YEARS-;-

Eden was certainly born in the outer banks, and lived there all her life. Raised, however, that’s an entirely different story, a term used very loosely in the small Finnigan bungalow nestled in the cut. Her father ditched before Eden was born and she only remembers fleeting moments with her mother. It was her brother, Noah, who practically raised her; the only person she could ever really count on. 

Her childhood may have been difficult and certainly unconventional to say the least, but it wasn’t a total bust. Eden found ways to adapt and entertain herself, falling in love with the beach, the sand between her toes and the salty air in her tangles. She loved to splash around in the tide pools collecting shells and learning about all the small organisms she could get her little fingers on. It was the only thing that kept her busy while her parents were nowhere to be found and big brother was off teaching tourists how to surf. 

SCHOOL/TEENAGE YEARS-;- 

Academics came easily to Eden. She was a naturally curious student and read anything and everything she could get her hands on. Much to her surprise, she made friends easily, her curious and oftentimes blunt demeanor somehow managing to charm her classmates. It also helped that Noah was her big brother. She took it in stride and wore her association as Noah’s little sister as a badge of honor, even earning the nickname “Little Finn.”

As Eden entered her teen years, she began to realize that her natural abilities came with tremendous pressure, everyone always seeming to remind her of her potential and that if she played her cards right she could get out of this town and achieve great things. The pressure surmounted, and Eden couldn’t shake the feeling that no matter what she was bound to be stuck in the OBX forever destined to repeat her mother’s mistakes.

It was only a matter of time before the youngest Finnigan began her rebellious phase, out to prove that she was no longer a little girl. New attitude, new style, new curfew, new string of lovers, oftentimes disappearing to stretches of time (like mother, like daughter). But somewhere beneath her bold lipstick and short denim skirts lies the curious little girl who wore starfish for earrings and splashed around in tide pools. She is a hopeless romantic at heart who wants the fairytale and craves to quench her growing hunger for knowledge. 

COLLEGE/PRESENT-;-

After graduation, Eden took a year off to find herself and save up some money before getting her act together and applying to college. She managed to get into the local community college while balancing her job as a beach attendant with the hopes of someday becoming a marine biologist. After a year of study, she has decided to put her education on hold again, unable to keep up with the cost of school even with the help of financial aid. She hasn’t mentioned this decision to anyone yet, especially not to Noah.

When the opportunity to join a reality TV show presented itself, Eden couldn’t pass it up. If she won the money, she may be able to continue her education and realize her dreams of becoming a marine biologist. Besides, anything was better than checking badges and managing rentals for kooks and tourists at the beach all summer long. 

POGUES VS KOOKS-;-

Eden doesn’t get directly involved in the pogues vs kooks drama, but she can’t help but feel jealous of the kooks and their wealth. It bothers her that even the slackers get accepted into the fanciest colleges while she has to struggle just to make ends meet. That’s not to say Eden will simply turn the other cheek and she’s not afraid to stand up for herself in front of the kooks. Push her too far, and that famous Finnigan temper is bound to explode.

THE SWEETEST BUB ON THE PLANET !! is really shy and overall just not the type of person to approach people first, but will get the ball rolling once a conversation is sparked. a neutral good bc she believes very strongly in being fair to everyone ! estranged from her parents because her mom constantly berates her and her father won’t stop calling and texting her to come home.

patience is a virtue that absolutely does not have. she gets irritated at the smallest things all the time. wholeheartedly will forgive anyone as long as they don’t screw it up the second time because she becomes their worst nightmare. a wholeass girly girl with her cheerleading uniform and hoop earrings, but it’s mostly to rebel against the stereotype of pogues being dirty and grimy from working all day, but she hates being called princess. 10/10 would probably give you a hug if you asked.

b a c k g r o u n d

- Grew up with celebrity lawyers for parents, so everything was always very strict and serious around their house  He Spent the first few years of his life being raised by nannies, but as time went on his mom wanted to spend more time with him, so she quit being a lawyer to be a stay at home mom.

- Ezra absolutely adored his mom, whenever it was just the two of them things were much more relaxed. She was the one who introduced him to art. She bought him his first set of paints, and took him to museums. While his father always expected him to go to law school, his mother supported his dreams of going to art school. This led to a lot of arguments between his parents.

- When Ezra and his brother were a bit older, his mom got sick of living in LA and wanted to return to her home state to raise her boys. She convinced his dad to make the move, insisting that he could just travel for business when neccessary. 

- When Ezra was fifteen his mom got sick, and not long after his sixteenth birthday she passed away. Both him and his father took it really hard, but instead of bringing them together it forced them further apart. Their house was mostly filled with silence, and Ezra’s dad started working more, which left Ezra home alone most of the time.

- During winter break Freshman year, Ezra came home to a new stepmother. His father hadn’t mentioned getting married until they were in the car nearly home, and it all came as a big shock to Ezra. Suddenly there was another woman sitting in his mom’s seat and drinking out of her favorite mug. It’s not that he doesn’t like his stepmother, she’s perfectly nice and he’s cordial towards her, but he can’t get past the feeling that she’s trying to replace his mother.

- Went to undergrad for English, and is now in law school at his father’s insistence. He hates it, and is definitely experiencing major burnout, but doesn’t want to leave in fear of being cut off. If Ezra had it his way, he’d pursue art full time. 

- Struggles with untreated depression and OCD. He’s on and off medication, but prefers to self-medicate.

EARLY YEARS;

Ethan Wood was born and raised to do one thing and one thing only: play soccer. Being the middle child of legendary University of North Carolina starting forward Olivier Wood and renowned athleisure wear designer Daphne Wood, there was only one path for this budding young soccer prodigy. And it was to follow in daddy’s footsteps donning the prestigious Carolina blue and white of his father’s alma mater. 

His childhood was pleasant, raised on his family’s estate in the coveted Eight and filled with family getaways and father/son trips to UNC/Wake Forest rivalry matches. Matches that he hoped to one day play in. Young Ethan was a natural talent and he picked up the game rather quickly, spending every free moment practicing in the yard or scribbling down strategies. He wanted nothing more than to make his father proud and carry on his legacy. 

HIGH SCHOOL;

Ethan was sent to one of the finest private schools on the island that money could buy. Of course, he wasn’t there for his grades and what he lacked in brains, his skills on the field made up for. He made varsity soccer his freshman year and then went on to become captain during his senior year, reveling in all the perks that came with being a star athlete: parties, hookups, popularity. As Ethan’s athletic abilities along with his ego continued to grow, so did his competitive edge, arrogance, and hot temper which is known for getting him into trouble on and off the pitch. He’s no stranger to an alcohol induced bawl and struggles to keep his temper under control. 

COLLEGE;

It’s no secret that in the OBX money talks and Mr. Wood had deep pockets. A library donation and a legacy later, Ethan finally realized his dream and secured a spot on his beloved UNC soccer team. His temper being the reason for the trouble in the first place. It didn’t take long for him to become the frat star worthy of his reputation. Sure, he had to overcome those pesky freshman years, team hazing, and locker room banter, even spending the half a season on the bench for his hot headed temper. Nonetheless, he managed to make a name for himself even if slightly tarnished.

SEASON ONE; 

Fresh off his college graduation, Ethan returned to the Outer Banks with his sights set on playing professional soccer in the upcoming season. Before entering the real world in the fall, he joined the show for one last hurrah and boy did he get what he signed up for. The summer was filled with all sorts of shenanigans, parties, booze, and hook-ups. 

Ethan rounded out the first season of OBX rather unscathed, save for a secret hook-up and an unlikely friendship that he formed with a pogue. He gained some notoriety from the show and it was a perfect launch for his new life in the public eye.  

POST SEASON ONE 

Ethan started footy training in the fall after the reality show ended, and he currently plays for Inter Miami CF, a team owned by David Beckham himself. He took up residence in Miami for the soccer season (come visit him !!  or come to one of his matches) and traveled the country with his team becoming the soccer star he always wanted to be. His rookie season was one for the books, and if you thought his ego couldn’t get any bigger, check again. 

In his off time, Ethan maintained his growing popularity by making appearances at all the Miami hot spots and keeping up a rather impressive social media presence, constantly posting his fitness routines and workouts in addition to his nights out. This earned him a reputation off the pitch, and his name managed to find its way into the local papers and magazines. He did his best to keep in touch with his friends from the show despite his busy schedule, and even visited the OBX whenever he could. 

With his first professional soccer season in the books, Ethan couldn’t resist returning to the reality show for another summer, much to his PR team’s dismay who are working to clean up with reputation, not add to it. 

POGUES VS KOOKS

Ethan got into his fair share of Pogues vs Kooks scuffles back in high school. Nights filled with stupid boyish banter, booze, and blows. He likes to think he’s above all the rivalry now— playing pro ball and all—  but sometimes he still struggles to truly let go of the past and be the bigger person. He’s an athlete though and though, and rivalries are all just a part of the game. 

WANTED CONNECTIONS;

the rival; To say Ethan is competitive is the understatement of the century and he and this person have a rivalry for the ages. The two don’t like each other and this person never fails to get under Ethan’s skin. It could have even started back in school and carried over to now. Perhaps the reason Ethan had some trouble getting into UNC for soccer? Bonus points if they have to put all their differences aside and work together at some point for a common goal. [OPEN]

the hook-ups; Ethan really isn’t the type to stick around after a hook-up and is usually out before the sun comes up, never wanting to get attached. If anyone wants to give him a much deserved slap upside the head, let me know! [OPEN]

let’s make ‘em jealous; There’s no denying that Ethan and this person have chemistry. They are super flirty and all over each other, but in reality it’s all a rouse. They aren’t really into one another and are merely using each other to stir up some drama, cause a scene, and make the ones that really do catch their eyes jealous.  [OPEN]

the real bros; for those looking for a second muse, Ethan has two brothers xD. Julian and Damian (names can totally change!) He has one older brother who rejected the athlete/UNC/kook life leaving Ethan with the pressure to fill daddy’s soccer boots. They had a fall out and their relationship is shaky at best. Ethan also has a baby bro who he is definitely closer with. They get on rather typically through harmless banter and school boy shenanigans. the tutor; Ethan isn’t the brightest bulb and only maintained good enough grades to stay on the soccer team. Though he was never the easiest student, Ethan has a great deal of respect for this person and appreciates all the work they put into him. Not to mention, is their BIGGEST hype-man if he ever runs into them outside his coursework. [CLOSED]

the workout partner; being a professional athlete means that Ethan is very into keeping in shape, even when he’s hungover. This could go two ways:1.) These two bonded over their love of the gym and they push each other to bring out the most of one another. It could even be a bit of rivalry, too! 2.) To say it scares the shit out of Ethan is more than just an understatement and even though sparks flew Ethan isn’t sure he’s ready to give up his soccer star lifestyle for her just yet. This could be a new relationship that manifests on the show or one from the past that he is forced to revisit now that they are sharing a summer house together. [CLOSED]

the role model; Ethan didn’t really have many positive role models to look up to growing up, mainly just his father and his toxic masculinity. This person helps Ethan balance all that out and helps him deal with all those pesky emotions he was taught to keep suppressed inside in order to “be a man.” This person also keeps him in check and isn’t afraid to give him a much needed smack to the upside of the head when necessary [CLOSED]

EARLY YEARS-;-

Eden was certainly born in the outer banks, and lived there all her life. Raised, however, that’s an entirely different story, a term used very loosely in the small Finnigan bungalow nestled in the cut. Her father ditched before Eden was born and she only remembers fleeting moments with her mother. It was her brother, Noah, who practically raised her; the only person she could ever really count on. 

Her childhood may have been difficult and certainly unconventional to say the least, but it wasn’t a total bust. Eden found ways to adapt and entertain herself, falling in love with the beach, the sand between her toes and the salty air in her tangles. She loved to splash around in the tidepools collecting shells and learning about all the small organisms she could get her little fingers on. It was the only thing that kept her busy while her parents were nowhere to be found and big brother was off teaching tourists how to surf. 

SCHOOL/TEENAGE YEARS-;- 

Academics came easily to Eden. She was a naturally curious student and read anything and everything she could get her hands on. Much to her surprise, she made friends easily, her curious and oftentimes blunt demeanor somehow managing to charm her classmates. It also helped that Noah was her big brother. She took it in stride and wore her association as Noah’s little sister as a badge of honor, even earning the nickname “Lil’ Finn.”

As Eden entered her teen years, she began to realize that her natural abilities came with tremendous pressure, everyone always seeming to remind her of her potential and that if she played her cards right she could get out of this town and achieve great things. The pressure surmounted, and Eden couldn’t shake the feeling that no matter what she was bound to be stuck in the OBX forever destined to repeat her mother’s mistakes.

It was only a matter of time before the youngest Finnigan began her rebellious phase out to prove that she was no longer a little girl. New attitude, new style, new curfew, new string of lovers, oftentimes disappearing to stretches of time (like mother, like daughter). But somewhere beneath her bold lipstick and short denim skirts lies the curious little girl who wore starfish for earrings and splashed around in tidepools. She is a hopeless romantic at heart who wants the fairytale and craves to quench her growing hunger for knowledge. 

COLLEGE-;-

After graduation, Eden took a year off to find herself and save up some money before getting her act together and applying to college. She managed to get into the local community college while balancing her job as a beach attendant with the hopes of someday becoming a marine biologist. After a year of study, she has decided to put her education on hold again, unable to keep up with the cost of school even with the help of financial aid. She hasn’t mentioned this decision to anyone yet, especially not to Noah.

When the opportunity to make a few appearances on a reality TV show presented itself, Eden couldn’t pass it up. If she made a little extra cash, she may be able to continue her education and realize her dreams of becoming a marine biologist. Besides, anything was better than checking badges and managing rentals for kooks and tourists at the beach all summer long. 

SEASON 1-;-

Eden only had a short stint on the show for season 1. She was brought on to make a few cameo appearances at the end of the summer in hopes of stirring up drama for her brothers Finn and Wiley. The season ended rather amicably for Eden, gaining her a handful of new friends in addition to a very small level of celebrity in the Outer Bank now often referred to as “Finn from that show’s sister.”

POST SEASON 1-;-

People began to recognize her more and her social media following also began to increase. She used this growing platform to promote her love for the ocean, often posting about her aquatic discoveries and how to keep the ocean waters clean.  

Despite the perks that came along with being on the show, Eden remained in the Outer Banks once it ended. While everyone was off traveling the world and enjoying their new lives outside the show, she continued to work at the beach and picked up odd jobs here and there. Since Eden only made guest appearances, she didn’t receive as large of a payday as she had hopped. And besides, who else was going to make sure that Finn had his Coco Berries? She kept in touch with a few of her friends from the show and constantly texted her “big sisters” Kaia and Naomi about their travels.

Eden was asked back for season 2 and this time as a season regular. She agreed again not only for the money, her ambitions to get herself back in college still very much alive and well, but also to spend more time with her new fling, Connor. The relationship is still very new and super casual (filled with Finding Nemo banter), but enough to help bring her back to the show. She’s looking forward to spending an entire season on the show and all the shenanigans that come along with it. 

POGUES VS KOOKS-;-

Eden doesn’t get directly involved in the pogues vs kooks drama, but she can’t help but feel jealous of the kooks and their wealth. It bothers her that even the slackers get accepted into the fanciest colleges while she has to struggle just to make ends meet. That’s not to say Eden will simply turn the other cheek and she’s not afraid to stand up for herself in front of the kooks. Push her too far, and that famous Finnigan temper is bound to explode.

the bestie-;- (pogue) Eden and this person go way back and they’ve practically known each other for as long as they can remember. Sure, they bicker and tease each other but no matter what they are practically family and they will always have each other's backs. [OPEN]
