like. xiaoge supposedly an immense beauty? tlt3 xiaoge got it. even rough and tired and used as bait. xiaoge so pretty ppl think he could be a boy toy like in the manhua? check. xiaoge super capable? check. xiaoge light enough to carry and lithe? check. xiaoge wearing both the goth athletic wear AND the cozy goth cardigans i love? check. xiaoge goth in a subtle sort of way instead of them 2009 heavy emo fringe bby? check. xiaoge expressing a fuckton but wu xie’s the only bitch picking up on it for the most part? check. xiaoge saving damsel? check. xiaoge letting wu xie touch him? check. xiaoge speaking only a little, face so expressionless, but u can still read whats going on inside? check.

also im thinking again of how a-ning read wu xie like a giant neon sign and fucked up over it again. “you know how you’d sacrifice anything for xiaoge in this life? i’m like that about this life, i’d sacrifice anything to live it, its what i choose.”

#tlt3 lb #tlt3 #this hot mess show is getting to me ayyyyyyyy #my only major critiques left at this point: i DO think they overused the comedy music in the beginning #although its wearing down so i think perhaps the show was self aware and is chilling out #and i think they did not do a solid enough job on a-ning at all #which would be less noticable if it were like tlt1 and this was a nings first appearance #but its INCREDIBLY noticable because #every single fucking other a-ning actress did SUCH a good job #that its very hard to do an 'ok' job and still feel comparably heavy in impression #likewise. i think the huge amount of comedy right around a nings one Scene. really really HURT that scene.#and while the after references to it are fine. the actual scene came off so WEAK because of it.#i can get over it because theres so much good a ning in other dmbj dramas. but it still sucks a lot and is the biggest flaw to me rn.#and then minor flaw: xiao hua just is NOT as strong an actor as tlt2 and its really noticable. its bearable but i still miss the stronger #portrayal. likewise pangzi's actor is not as strong as tlt2 or reboots. but for him i DO actually think hes improving #as of ep maybe 12 onward hes felt perfectly solid #so im good with him now and hes handling heavy scenes well.#so basically? mmm eps 1-10 have a rough start for said issues sake.#overall tho the fast pace helps make up for it tho. the bad parts dont last long.
