Mickey Ds and the Magic Nuggs

Most rookies would rather bore themselves to death with Sunggyu’s classroom lectures about the hero training manual than having to complete high intensity workouts. They’re the training sessions where the team isn’t allowed home until everyone has puked at least once. He wants the kids to get used to throwing up. Monsters don’t wait for heroes to catch their breath, let alone lighten up when they’ve reached their limits. Every Nightshade member should be wobbling home on unsteady legs, feeling too exhausted to open the caps on the water bottles their leader hands out at the beginning and end of practice.

“I’m surprised you still have an appetite for McNuggets,” he says, smiling at Wonshik. “Should I have worked you harder today? I think you have another lap around the track in you if I’m not mistaken.” 

He’s only teasing, but you never know with Wonshik. “I have to pick up Joon from preschool first, if that’s alright with you,” he adds. “He’s usually good for car rides -- especially if he gets a Happy Meal. Eunji isn’t a fan of us getting McDonalds for obvious reasons, but...oh, I’m rambling again. Let me unlock the car!”
