i love both geto and gojo dad headcanons! but i’ve been seeing a lot of people conflate headcanon with canon, so here are my two cents:

geto has been explicitly stated to be a fatherly figure for mimiko and nanako (gege referred to him as papageto). gojo is canonically more of a guardian figure and mentor towards the children in his care, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that geto was better at raising his kids—geto’s tendency to indoctrinate, even at the most subtle level, and the image he kept up to the public were not the best traits for a father to have. (well—among other things.) i’d argue that the way gojo taught his students offered them more autonomy and freedom to grow, too. there are pros and cons to both of them as adults with children in their care.

but! most people who have these parental headcanons are (most likely, hopefully) aware of this! headcanons are supposed to be fun; analytical conversations about canon can be had in another forum, outside the realm of people just having fun, especially for a found family trope. it’s not a harmful or inconsiderate headcanon, so there’s no need to argue, especially in regards to who has the most proximity to canon. because, you know. it’s a damn headcanon. yea!
