the reason i get very 🧐 whenever anybody puts one of those ‘to be an eldest daughter is Inherently to Inherit Suffering’ posts on my dash…
#like PLEASE separate yr trauma from yr identity and stop framing it as Inherent to Yr Gender#parentification and codependency are not intrinsic or unique to women even if it’s true they’re more frequently visited on women#due to the Power Dynamics of It All#like idk. things can be interwoven strands that come together into a very brutal rope but like. all the more reason to pick them apart then?
