gabby was sent to be the first person up in space in the early 20s, but after she went missing and all communications between her and mission control went kaput, she was basically erased from history.

after she ran out of supplies and oxygen, she died and her body was created again out of a mass of stardust 

bots who come across her think shed be an angry, restless spirit but shes actually really happy to finally be able to live again! (more or less)

Good morning! Joining me for a stroll today is the fabulously named Nightcruz. She's one I'd had my eye on for a good decade and a half before getting the three-pack she came in. Being a sexy little spy jet will do that. She has this weird use of a grey paint wash to bring out the greebly details, something that Hasbro apparently only tried this once.

Good morning! I took Rewind to enjoy the park today. He's a good lad, even if his three modes are all variants on a theme of rectangle.

#parkbot time! It's Scour... Motormast... Nemesis Pri... Motorbreath? Seriously? He doesn't even have a mouth! Still, as teeny tiny Optimus Primey moulds go, it's a cracker.

Kudos for the designers on these intricate things. One-step changers are often impressive feats of engineering in the first place, but to have the whole thing spring loaded is even cleverer. Shame the alt mode is a sort of hockey puck thing, but is that really any worse than a microcassette? Netflix Soundwave has a lot to answer for, alt mode-wise.

Behold! Magneto, master of magnet! Honestly, I think old Windcharger has had a bit of a raw deal the past ten years or so. This RTS toy is great, but subsequent T30 and PotP figures weren't really much of an upgrade. I thought I'd give the old boy a walk as today's #parkbot.

Hello #parkbot! I always liked Bombshell. Probably it was that choose-your-own-adventure book I had as a kid where he teamed up with Starscream to fuck up an observatory for no particular reason. Or maybe just that knightly mouth visor he's always sporting. Either way, he's a good lad to bring on a stroll.

Whoops! Had a #parkbot with me this morning, and completely forgot to post it. Anyway it's Mirage GT! I presume the GT stands for gin and tonic, as he looks he appreciates a good tipple. Another Beast Machines redeco for RID, and I really wish we'd had more of them. There was an Obsidian, a couple of Jetstorms, but no Tankors or Thrusts, which is a damn shame. In fact, those two never got any redecos, did they? Damn shame. Anyway, Mirage GT has these tiny little thighs and massive calves, fires his own exhaust pipes as missiles (which can't be healthy) and has a gun where the driver should go. Somehow he's supposed to be the same guy as the goofy Spychanger who had an episode in the cartoon where he learned sign language. I don't see the resemblance myself.

And Wheelie survived, though quite on his own,

Didn't write, text or email, even once use his phone!

It's the half term holiday (at last) so time for more #parkbot goodness. And of course it had to be Iguanus. He's certainly not the most technically accomplished not I've had in recent years, not does he have the coolness factor in some of the bigger releases at the moment but of my experience of Legacy so far, he's easily the most fun.

What makes the difference, I think, is that Iguanus seems to know exactly what he is as a toy, and hits that target square on. I'm still not convinced that this is the future of Pretenders in Generations (snap-on armour, modulator-style, come on), but it doesn't stop this wee fella being exactly the Iguanus toy he needs to be.

This week's #parkbot is this delightful handsome boy, who single handedly raised my expectations on the quality of one step chambers, only for them to be cruelly dashed when I later picked up Megatron.
