Kylie Jenner is Teaming Up With Another Family Member for Her First Collaboration of 2020
2020 might only be three days underway but Kylie Jenner has wasted no time in sharing a sneak peek of her next collection for Kylie Cosmetics. Following previous collections with sisters Kim and Khloe, Kylie is now tapping another family member for an upcoming collaboration – and it’s none other than her daughter Stormi Webster. Yep, the almost two-year old is getting her own lip kit as a second birthday present. No biggie.
Taking to Instagram to share the first glimpse of the collection, Jenner shared a snap of Stormi overseeing packaging designs and colour inspirations for the Valentine’s Day 2020 collection made in her name. The photo shows a nine-shade eyeshadow palette, as well as a new lip kit with Stormi branded packaging that’s finished with butterflies. The use of the butterfly motif is particularly fitting, given that many believe Stormi’s name was inspired by the butterfly effect – a fact which Jenner seemed to confirm in 2018 when she and Stormi dressed as butterflies for halloween.

Stormi turns two on February 1 so the release of the collection is a well-timed birthday present for the mogul-in-the-making.
In an interview with CNBC following news of the $600 million Coty deal at the end of last year, Kris Jenner revealed that the world’s youngest self-made billionaire hopes to be able to pass her beauty empire on to her daughter at some point. “This is what she wants to do for the rest of her life. [She] talks about it all the time. Twenty years from now she sees herself doing this and maybe passing it down to her daughter.”
It is currently unknown as to when the collection will launch and what other products it will include, however with Valentine’s Day coming over in just over a month, we suspect we won’t have to wait long. Watch this space.

Girly Stuff
(2/18/19)  I’m in a girly mood and want to talk about makeup and skincare today.  I don’t know what I want to say but I’m in the mood for it, so I’m just going to start, ha!
Is it weird that I love the act of putting on a full face of makeup and also removing it at the end of the day equally?  I do!  I love putting on all of my makeup and then having a clean, bare face at the end of the day.
I use Dermalogica and Derma E products.  I wish I could afford all Dermalogica but I can’t!  I use their precleanse and special cleansing gel, toner (for right now, I’m not convinced I need a toner), and powerfirm eye cream.  For Derma E products I use their anti-aging basic moisturizer as a day cream, and their advanced collagen peptide something as a night cream.  I also use their microderm abrasion about twice a week which I love!  It’s so hard to find products that don’t break me out.  Those are the only cruelty-free brands I’ve found that don’t.  Oh!  I forgot to mention, I’ve transitioned almost my entire collection of makeup, skincare, haircare, and body care to cruelty-free brands!  It’s taken a couple years, but I’ve managed to move almost everything out!  My goal is to be able to purchase everything at Ulta for the points and so far I’ve been successful except for my lotions.
For makeup, I just love it all!  I have a very minimal collection, though.  I don’t see the point in having 50 blushes, 30 highlighters, 70 eyeshadow palettes, 15 mascaras etc.  There’s no way one person can use all of that before it goes bad, so it’s a waste in my opinion.  I have a mix of high end and drugstore brands, and only have one item in each “category” open at a time.  I choose to spend money on high end face products and eyeshadow--face primer, foundation, highlight, bronzer, etc.  My drugstore items are mascara, eyeliner, blush, eye primer, etc.  The high end items I’ve searched for a suitable drugstore item and haven’t found it yet.  I’ve considered all of my options and find it’s worth it to me to splurge on those items.  I’m so excited to show you all that I have.  I’m so silly, ha!
Hair care I never used to care about, but particularly this year I’m wanting to get better shampoo and conditioner to improve the overall health of my hair.  I’ve been trying different brands--DevaCurl, Drybar, and Pureology to see which one I like the best.  Right now I’m loving Pureology but it’s so stinking expensive, I’m unsure I can justify it.  DevaCurl is more reasonably priced so I may end up getting that one instead because I do like it fairly well.  Drybar is just a miss for me, it seems to leave a film on my hair, it’s just weird.  I rarely put product in it and don’t blowdry or heat treat my hair so I’m really relying on the shampoo and conditioner to make it look great naturally.  Is that too much to ask? :)
For body care, I actually use good old-fashioned soap!  I’ve discovered SheaMoisture soaps and really like them!  For lotion, that’s really the only area I haven’t gone cruelty free in and I’m unsure I’ll be able to.  My husband really only can tolerate one scent from Bath and Body Works for my lotion--A Thousand Wishes--and last time I checked they don’t test their products on animals, but they weren’t considered cruelty-free because of their supplier’s policies or something.  I’ve been trying to find a similar scent and haven’t been able to.  :(
Ok, that’s enough girly stuff, I hope I didn’t bore you, ha!  I’m looking forward to having lots more of these types of talks in person.  I think Sam will be the bored one ;)
