#TBT to one of my favorite shots I’ve taken, @heypatyeah at 5:30 am in #Detroit for 2017’s @muralsinthemarket! The light you see in the building/piece was on an overnight timer and shooting the mural correctly required that I wake up at the butt crack of dawn and meet the master #PatPerry at his #GratiotAve wall just outside the #easternmarket! I remember the morning was a bit misty but the cloud coverage was perfect for the shoot and the really high shots from #UpInTheLift truly captured the scale with the city skyline in the background. Finished wall on #GratiotAve by @heypatyeah! Pat and I woke up at 6am to get this flick because we were told the light was programmed to go off at 7am. Despite our exhaustion we made it to the wall super early only to figure out the light stayed on well past 7 🤷🏽‍♂️ Anyway, it was well worth it to get the shot #UpInTheLift and at the perfect morning light! Shoutout to the muses Grandma and Stickman! This wall is in the neighborhood that #PatPerry resides in and thus he was super happy to paint to of his neighbors!
