I hold this humungous hole of insecurity within me, specifically abt my importance in people’s lives and I think it’s one of the reasons I love your ffs & ocs. Whether it’s failsafe, hlwwf, or perpetual datejust, the fictional realm you’ve created where ur ocs also have that lack of security but have still found themselves someone who will love them deeply and prove daily how important they are is one of the reasons I don’t let myself wallow in self deprecation. Bc I hope one day I’m also able to find love (platonic or romantic) that’s able to make me appreciate myself whole again🫶

Thank u for sharing ur stories and whether you mean to or not, creating a dialogue within oneself about who they want to be as a person.

And one last thing to applaud you on. The Fine Arts of Luxury Investing

With high levels of wealth concentration in Thailand (Gini coefficient 0.3), it makes sense to market to the wealthy, but how exactly do you invest in luxury brands? And what are some of the home-grown ones here that might succeed? To get a sense of this, we picked up Luxury Strategies by Vincent Bastien and applied some of the five principles highlighted in his book to picking luxury stocks.

Prioritize quality/process over cost controls. Because luxury usually comes with extraordinary margins, cost controls at the expense of things like pedigree, location, actual quality of the product, or associated myths will prove to be self-defeating. Pranda's massive layoffs in Germany and other locations is a good example of what...not to do.

Limit Supply to create scarcity. Many luxury brands in 'best practice' countries like France and Italy actually try to make it difficult for you to buy their stuff (eg. long waiting lists) and would rather expand globally than fight for market share. MINT is an example of one Thai luxury brand that has expanded abroad.

Draw the clients; don't push the products. Bastien prefers coming up with gold standards than focus groups, avoiding non-fans, and advertising to create demand rather than direct selling. One way we measure this success is through gross margins, which reflects pricing power rather than cost efficiencies.

Go easy on the brand extension. Vertically extending your brand downwards to lower price points can seem like easy money, but it could also hurt profits at the top. Sometimes, it is better to create new brands. At others, it's case-by-case. We look at two examples: 1) Sansiri (same brand); and 2) MINT (multiple brands).

Use the Internet to connect, not sell. In the long run, e-commerce can weaken the brand, but luxury products depend on a fan base of loyal customers. It is a better idea for companies to use social media to connect to customers without actually selling their core products there...or to do so sparingly.

Based on this, our top picks would be Jubilee, a jewelry stock heavily promoted by our pals at Country Group, and MINT. As for Pranda, that's a big no-no. Why would you throw in your fine craftsmanship to someone else's effort and avoid branding it?! Just wanted to let you know I just finished reading perpetual datejust and take five and honestly— i don’t know what to say after the emotions you’ve put me through like this is the first time in my 6 years of reading aus that i’ve felt different types of emotions and something that IDK HOW TO EXPLAIN IT, It just really makes me feel like i’m in the story like I’m actually experiencing it (does that make sense?) but anyways, this is also the first time i’ve actually cried like not just a tear dropping i literally cried. (the let me down gently part and the last part of perpetual datejust really got to me sue me) you are such an amazing writer for actually conveying these feelings in your stories and if you made me cry like that then you’re literally just so good. i can’t wait to read more of your works!

bff 🥺 I don't know if I'm crying of sadness or relief but sure I'm crying at 10:34 am 🥺 I started with one tear at yoongi gifting her the cardigan, then I went full sobbing with the fight after Jin, (how could he be embarrassed of her? 😭) lastly, i thought I had no more tears but you've proof me wrong! I had more and they went out with the fact that he knows she is his home 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

I love the flow of it, everything was great, we're having a good time but then, the cardigan, and the sex tape, shit hit the fan and i lost it when oc said she was tired of him, of putting his necessities above hers :c also!! I love love love the reference of his earing hurting her, I love your brain!! It was amazing, beautiful parallels!!! 🧡🧡
