This little guy is so personable. Always ready to come out whenever I open his enclosure and scoot around.

He's so very very shy so I brought him downstairs to the couch to explore and get some enrichment. He wasn't sure about it at first but eventually started cruising around all over. My sweet little shy boy. So different from the colubrids that make up the rest of my bunch.

Terrible photos of what is going to be a gorgeous Salmon Snow Motley corn snake who just arrived yesterday. Was just born in August, by far the youngest/smallest I've ever received a snake. The breeder thought this one was a male when I picked him out via pictures but he wrote female on the shipping cup, so I guess that's that 😅🤣 (I don't care either way, I just find it funny). I uhh had already wanted to name him Sherman, so Sherman she will be.

Today after work I decided it was a good day to clean snake enclosures and decided to try to handle everyone too (which truth be told, I don't do as often as I would like).
In order (hopefully):
1 - Unnamed, new O. p. coxi male. I didn't hold him because he's brand new here, just checked in on him
2 - Bessie, snow Kenyan sand boa female. Starting to doubt the breeder about female, because she's only grown wider and not longer in ages (I'll recheck eventually). She's nippy in her house but such a sweet potato in hand.
3 - Butterball, butter berry corn snake female. She's an absolute glutton, hence her name lmao, but she's so so easy to handle she might be one of my favorites.
4 - Unnamed, Japanese blue ratsnake yearling female. I had her out, but she was trying so hard to climb up the hook and up my arms I couldn't get any photos while I was doing so, so ugly hatchling house photo instead.
5 - Cinnabar, Baird's ratsnake yearling female. One of my dream snakes and I'm so excited to continue watching her grow. Her color is already amazing in person compared to when I picked her up.
6 - Unnamed, banana champagne cinnamon ball python male. I didn't know champagne caused neurological issues like spider does when I bought him, but he has never had any obvious issue. He's so so different from the rest of the group it's almost odd picking him up (he's like a brick!). Absolute innocent angel baby.
7 - Unnamed ridleyi female yearling. She's usually endlessly snappy but after 7 or 8 tries she gave up trying to eat me. I still didn't handle her with my hands, though, as I didn't wanna push her too much.
8 - Barbara, Kenyan sand boa female. The gentlest, most floppy potato 💕 no words, she's perfect.
9 - Seviper, Mexican black kingsnake male. Honestly, I haven't held him in a hot minute because he was extremely musky and snappy when he was younger. He was, suddenly, incredibly easy to hold today. I thought he'd try and get me for sure, and he's my largest snake right now, but he just wanted to climb all over me! 💕
I need a better setup for photos. The reptile room is a disaster right now and the morning intense hazy sunlight did weird things to their colors. I truly don't know how breeders get such good photos all the time 🤣

Well, I should've known well over a year ago, but Bessie was indeed mis-sexed by the breeder and is in fact a male! I probably could've known that like 2 years ago if I'd looked closer, but he wasn't a very friendly baby when he was little and he's just a pet so it wasn't all that important anyways.
We've decided to change his name to Yukon, because he's a beautiful gold potato 🥔 🤣
He's much friendlier now that he's grown up and was so chill hanging out with us 💕

The girls saw our horse getting his grain and were so very upset he wasn't sharing. They're usually a tad skittish but when grain is involved they damn near turn into puppies. 🤣

The weather gave us a small break from the oppressive heat the last few days so I've spent some time out with the girls. They've had a blast running around the yard and following me everywhere.
In the meantime, the flock moved to another new pasture this week for some fresh grass. Pictured is Bibble (left) who was born here in March and is already adult size. Next to her is Eostre, a 2023 ewe also born here with her first lamb, our little man named Sol, who was just born a month ago.

My phone camera isn't doing his colors proper justice, his orange is NEON orange. I love this young man so so much. Watching him grow into his adult colors the last month or so has been so amazing.

We finally had a nice weekend that wasn't dangerously blazing hot. I spent a good chunk of it outside overdoing it on the physical labor (and am paying for that now unfortunately).
Sheep drive me up the wall on a very frequent basis but man they're just so good lookin.

It's long past time that my bottle girls moved outside and started adjusting to life as real sheep. Since they've outsmarted the pasture gates in their endless search of mom (aka me) thanks to their small size, they're hanging out in the most overgrown pheasant pen, which is extremely secure, so they're absolutely safe and have an endless source of grass to munch. The pheasants are confused about the situation, but it's a plenty big enough space for them and two little lambs.

Four days of working on it later, I have the old wall panels down, the room/ceiling/walls completely vacuumed and free of cobwebs, and I've got half the floor and walls mopped clean. Currently waiting on the mop heads to finish running through the washer so I can do the other half of the room, then I'm gonna wash them again and re-mop the entire room again for peace of mind.
After that I just need to cut the new wall panels and hang them up, pick a paint color, and paint!!

Our first (and so far only) set of 2025 lambs are officially ten days old and growing like weeds! Michigan can't make up it's mind about the weather so they've been in the barn so they stay dry and warm.
Josephine and Georgina 💕 mom is Eostre, our two year old Savannah daughter. We have one more for sure pregnant ewe, Bibble, also in the barn on baby watch. Hopefully Savannah herself is NOT pregnant, the ol hag. I don't want more bottle babies this year. I love Freyja and Frejda very dearly, but I don't have the time or energy for bottle lambs right now ☠️
