Wait... It was for fighting? No-- that wasn't right. They'd seen humans giggling and smiling while biting. Then... It must be this aggressive mating technique - but they still don't see the reason why.

They can't think of a good reason biting might occur otherwise, so they're excited to learn of a similarity between humans and their hive! It's a little strange, considering humans mated for life it seemed... But this was the only thing that made sense! So then - they must have threatened others accidentally when biting them! That's why nobody liked it!

They beam wide with this realization.

"We had no idea humans were so primitive like that! Maybe they're more similar to us than we thought!"

You would make a better mate than most humans, the way you are. Though... You may have to explain what that means to someone like you - to us, we would just leave you hundreds of eggs to fertilize. That being said, having another segment with arms wouldn't hurt your chances either~"
