i was never even a big fan of The Hip but you cannot be Canadian and hear this song without thinking of one night in your life when you were young and you were in the car with your friends, your best friends in the whole world, and at least one of you was heartbroken or on your way there, and at least one of you wondered if you would ever make it out of this place in working condition, and the night left your face cold and faintly damp as you drove past the petrocan and the pharmasave and wanted another cigarette, and wanted somebody to hold your hand, and wanted to scream at the top of your lungs, it was all the same mistake, it's been a long long time coming

He has been frequenting the mountain since he was a little kid. Once he started competing he very quickly dominated the scene. 

Currently, he is on a break from competition after feeling quite burnt out at the end of last season. 

As much as he loves the thrill and technical aspect of moguls he longs for days spent in the backcountry exploring with no civilization in sight and the calm stillness of the forest. 

Hyrule and Legend are backcountry skiing partners. 

Whenever there is a need for something, the patrol knows to radio Legend. They have yet to ask for something that Legend isn’t able to produce from his bag: trail mix, extra socks, flashlight, swiss army knife, hot packs, lip chap, tape, tweezers, sunscreen, gel packets, medicine... Man is a walking Pharmasave. 

Enjoys teaching pre-teen age groups the most as they tend to pick up new skills quickly and are comedic balls of happy energy. (They are also past the age of having to be carried off to the bathroom every 15 minutes).

Rents a townhouse with Hyrule and Wild. Their house is a constant disaster and Legend is 95% sure Wild has been stealing his favourite smartwool socks.

Got stuck headfirst in a tree well last season while skiing off piste and sent the entire patrol into a frantic frenzy trying to find him. Wars and Time simultaneously received their first grey hairs that day. Wind maintains he was cool as a cucumber, but boy was stressing.

He was introduced to skiing by his older cousin (Wars) on a family trip. Aryll didn’t take to it as much as Wind did. Eventually Wind stumbled upon old racing clips of Time and was completely enamoured. After that he threw himself into the sport and landed himself a spot on the Junior National Team. 

Time is Wind’s primary coach. 

Wars use to help out more with coaching Wind however, Wind has hit that prickly age which means he is less likely to be receptive of advice given by family. Lately, their interactions during practice tend to devolve into eye rolls and arguing when Wind gets frustrated. 

Has pilfered a spare key to the patrol office and raids the fridge on a daily basis (“Someone ate part of your sandwich Wars? Oh, what a shame...”)

dear diary today pharmasave was playing bizarre love triangle while my friend was shopping for weird supplements . we went to the lake and i eavesdropped on a cute couple + left rather beautiful and curvaceous wet marks on the dock when we were suntanning. brainstormed wealthy german men we knew that my friend could hook up with . drank like a litre of mate and elderflower cordial (separately…). weather said it was 20 but it was in fact 27 and HUMID!! ran into my best friend from elementary school and accidentally let slip that it was her birthday to all her coworkers. phone overheated for the nine thousandth time. awesome world.

PROCESSION PASSING In most small towns, it's extraordinarily easy to be a stranger. Never believe anyone who tells you that "everyone knows everyone". The thousand or so folks within town limits of Bridgetown, plus those on the outskirts like me, make more names than you could ever remember. When I ran my art gallery on Queen Street, people would regularly ask: "How long have you lived here?" "All my life," I'd reply. "So have I," they'd say. Yet we'd never met before. It's pretty easy not to recognize a face, but what we can recall are shared experiences. Going to the skating rink, the school, various churches, the Legion, Pharmasave, V&S, Tim Horton's, or the Graves family grocery store. So even though you don't know me and I don't know you, we feel the same sting when one of those memories gets snuffed out. Maybe that's why I saw an endless parade of vehicles circling as I stood here. Like mourners to a funeral, procession passing by. Thursday December 21/23- Winter Solstice -I Vacuumed this morning and I Showered Today at 2:30 🕝 P.m.🚿!

Peter and the gurls up around 5:30 🕠 or maybe 20 to six! I was up at 7:00 🕖! Had water 💦 , coffee and ****1 x T + Pink med! ****I had a Small 💩 early this a.m. ****Rain ☔️ again today and thru the night! As far as I know no plans for today! ***I had another smallish Poop 💩 at 8:03 a.m. *** Peter is going for a run around Burnaby Lake , ***I had another Large Poop💩💩💩just after he’s leaving at around 8:40 a.m. over an hour run more than a half more! ***Im taking another#2- T at 10:00 a.m. ****I had another Big Poop💩💩 at 10:20 a.m. I picked up Script 30 tabs of Tamsulosin earlier and today another 60 of Tamsulosin = t90a altogether leaving 90 on file! at Noon ! 🕛 ***took T at 11:12 a.m.***I took 1 T at 1:00 p.m. *****Take 1 T at 3:00 p.m. ****Peter brought California Roll for our lunch today from Save On! Call Green Shield Today for**( holiday, filled out a Pharmasave slip )**no payment 20:00 dollars, we paid full price for last 60 meds cheap though thank you! 😊 ! 14 additional primary care clinics to open in N.S. pharmacies

Nova Scotia is expanding a program that enables pharmacists to treat and prescribe medication to patients with common illnesses or certain chronic diseases, like diabetes.

The provincial government announced Wednesday that its Pharmacy Primary Care Clinic program will expand from 12 to 26 locations as of next month.

The province says nine new locations will open Monday and the other five will open by the end of May.

"Pharmacists live and work in our communities and are one of the most accessible healthcare providers in Nova Scotia," said Brian Comer, minister responsible for the Office of Addictions and Mental Health, on behalf of Nova Scotia Health Minister Michelle Thompson, in a news release Wednesday.

"As our province and population quickly grow, we're expanding how and where Nova Scotians can receive primary care close to home."

The program is part of the province's efforts to ensure residents have access to primary care even if they don't have a doctor.

The first 12 primary care clinics opened in February.

The province says the clinics have provided more than 9,000 services to more than 5,000 Nova Scotians since then.

"For me, the proof of this model is in the daily interactions I have with patients who otherwise would be in emergency rooms, or worse, not attending to their health needs at all,” said Colleen MacInnis, a pharmacist at the TLC Pharmasave in Shelburne, N.S. “I am full of pride and inspiration watching our team and our colleagues at other sites providing this necessary care in our communities.”

The province says it is spending $1.2 million to expand to the 14 new locations.

The following nine locations are opening Monday:

The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy, 133 Baker Dr., Dartmouth, N.S.

The Medicine Shoppe, 708B Reeves St., Port Hawkesbury, N.S.

Betty, I have a theory. In early December, Tessa posted what looked like an apothecary in her stories, with no tags (aka clues) that I remember. I Googled Bronwyn today and she owns pharmacies ... so my bet is Tessa's planning on launching her own skincare line (or fragrance, or essential oils, or all of the above) and this was a business meeting!
