‘Sweet Dreams’
‘Sweet Dreams’
‘Sweet Dreams’ is about beginnings and endings, of lives lived and yet to be lived.
Imagine a new born child, alone in her cot, staring up at a gently turning mobile. As she falls asleep she dreams . . . of her life to come, of the person she could be and the experiences she will face - from childhood through to old age and ultimately death.
We all eventually become nameless people staring out from old photographs, but in those images we live eternal.
My work is all about finding an emotional connection with my audience and I hope the viewer will recognise themselves, their families and in recalling deep memories, if only for a moment, reach a powerful understanding of just how fleeting life can be.
