Escape | DaeShin

   “What kind of future king is unable to drink?” Shin said, filling the crown prince’s cup once more. “I’m helping you out here.”

  The General and Crown Prince were seated isolated from anyone else, they were surrounded by a garden and both were flushed from amount of alcohol they had consumed. 

  “Daedae.” Shin called towards the prince, a sure sign that the general is drunk, reverting to the nickname he used when they were younger. “I’m sorry I cannot be of more help.” He slumps on the table, sighing in his folded arms before he lifted his head back up to look at his friend. “You must be so alone up there fighting a lonely battle.”

 “BUT FRET NOT.” Shin stood, standing on his seat and placing one foot on the table. “I HAVE RETURNED FROM THE FRONTLINES TO BE YOUR SUPPORT. AND DAESHIN WILL UNITED THE COURT AND BRING PEACE UPON THE LAND.”

  He thrusts his fist up in the air, and a torrent of flames lit up the night sky. “I think we’d be discovered. We need to run. Collect the bottles that are not empty and we bail.”
