Not only did the Shinjiro social link during the femc route actually pull off whatever the fuck Kanjis entire toxic masculinity arc in p4 was supposed to be, it did it without the homophobia and awful friends

#persona #persona 3 #shinjiro aragaki #yeah this is my piping hot take friendship with kanji ended shinji is my friend now #but no really if you want an arc about toxic masculinity thats done well the shinji social link is so much better #he comes off as very scary and has this whole edgy persona (ha) that he puts out #but hes actually super sweet and kind and he has a lot of stereotypical feminine interests #most notably cooking #but hes kinda nervous and secretive about that stuff since it conflicts with his scary edgy persona #but as he gets more comfortable with the sees gang he comes out of his shell a bit #and kotone and fuuka encourage his interests and he helps them out using his talents #eventually leading to him cooking a big dinner for everyone in the dorm #and hes really nervous about it but everyone is so happy and supportive of him because theyre his FRIENDS #AND THEY LOVE HIM AND THEYRE PROUD OF HIM THEY SUPPORT HIM NO MATTER WHAT #see the key thing here is that shinji actually has friends who dont treat him like shit for his biggest insecurity like kanji #this post is mostly just an excuse for me to gush about how much i love shinji and the femc route and the sees gang in general #while delivering a big fuck you to the other game #plus i dont have to fight for my life to say shinji gay i can just slap him with gay AND THERES NOTHING YOU BASTARDS CAN DO BWAHAHA 😈
