a little backstory, clover was intended to be a simple forest nymph because I simply adore anything green and you already know that!! but when I posted my spaceclover art, someone in the tags asked if she was supposed to be a humanoid sprout mole (aka, the cute little bulbous plant creatures you see that's cuddling spaceboy!!)

after giving it some thought, I will now confirm that YES she is a humanoid sprout mole!! but here's a twist!! she can switch to human AND sprout mole at will, as long as she absorbed enough water from her homeland to go on human! but if she does run low on juice, she is but an itty bitty sprout mole, just like her people <3 it's not hard to identify her because she has a clover on her stem instead of an ordinary leaf!

but jil, what does this mean? she's a sprout mole, what does that mean? what does spaceboy and clover have now?

she is loved by his pirate crew, because they see her as the one who "helped him move on" and "made him even better than before" because his crew had to deal with spaceboy's ugly crying and moping BSBSBDHSJRH so I like to imagine how much respect and joy they get when she comes to visit!! she's also like a foreigner in their "land" so it's refreshing to have new people hehe and would definitely love to hear her mundane and simple stories because it's certainly a new thing for them hehe 🥺 oh and they all go eat snowcones together. spaceboy of course treating everyone because he's just that great of a captain 🥺 it's a fun time here <3

I wanna go on a ramble about sp.aceboyfie cuz I think he's really misunderstood and I wanna throw my take here <3

for those non o.mori fans, spaceboy has a split personality, the latter being incredibly aggressive and resentful (we'll call him space ex-boyfriend here) due to his breakup with Sweetheart. a lot of people tend to focus on ex-boyfriend because it's the central part of his boss, or the most exciting part about him usually

it makes me sad because spaceboy is actually a wonderful person, he just fell into the wrong hands and got worse from there 🥺 he truly cares about those around him and always stayed inclusive with his pirate crew. when he saw aubrey crying because of basil still being missing, he instantly wanted to comfort her and even calling her "little lady" which is just very cute 😭 he's a sympathetic man and I want that part of him to shine a lot more than what is given to me in the o.mori community right now 😭

he's an absolute romantic, i bet any person who is with him is very lucky. he proudly showers them with love and speaks very fondly of them, and i think clover is the right man for him <3

a little tid bit of clover; she always liked spaceboy from the beginning, even when he and his ex were still a thing. she was always there for him whenever he vented his worries about the declining relationship between him and his ex, yet clover pushed her feelings aside to care for his general well-being. it hurt her that she couldn't speak her real truth, but because of her patience with him and Spaceboy finally realizing that he was in the hands of the wrong person, they're together now and they're always there for each other no matter their differences!!

spaceboy became a little nervous in addressing his love to her lately, I'm sure he's a little traumatized. but clover never dismisses his worries and always affirms him that everything and anything he does for her will always be cherished no matter what, she brings his confidence back to where it started! she's truly his lucky star 💫
