Any tips on how to help someone learn art who is convinced they are incapable of improvement??
My friend wants to learn how to draw better but says that she can't envision any poses without seeing them first (I recommended trying gesture drawing to get used to seeing lots of poses but she says that everything turns out bad and then she quits)
She always quits trying to draw stuff after like 5 attempts that she erases and I can't figure out how to help because it seems like trying to improve just makes her sad. All of the tutorials just say to have fun and do what feels right but she is trying to logic it out so I'm not even sure if she's enjoying it.
I think she might just have bad self esteem when it comes to art which I definitely can't fix.
