Firstly, I think bunny!Charles LOVES snacks. He is always munching on something, like carrots or apple slices or banana pieces or strawberries. He just loves having some healthy snacks, which is honestly adorable.

So maybe you're in the kitchen, getting some snacks ready for your bunny while Pierre is in the living room choosing something to watch. The plan is that the three of you will have a chilled night in, just watching some movies and cuddling.

Pierre gets to choose the first movie, so while he chooses Charles decides that he must join you in the kitchen cause his mommy is looking after him so the least he can do is keep you company!!

So Pierre keeps custody of your hand while Charles runs off to find a bandaid and some medicine to put on your very serious wound.

The entire time that Charles is looking, Pierre is cradling your hand against his chest and growling lightly. He is SO unhappy about a member of his pack bleeding.

And you're pretty sure if anyone other than Charles touched you or him right then, they would have lost an eye.

But luckily Charles arrives quickly with two pretty plasters and some medicine. Charles puts the items on the kitchen counter and then hugs you from behind, thinking that you need support while Pierre applies first aid.

Pierre says absolutely nothing as he gently applies the medicine and the bandaids. Which isnt surprising, because whenever you or Charles are hurt, he gets so upset and can't control his instincts. He communicates in growls and whines and will hurt anyone who gets too close because he must protect his pack.

Even if what he's protecting his pack against is a small cut.

Once everyone is finally satisfied that your injury has been cared for, you suggest going to the living room for cuddles because you know that neither of them will calm down properly without cuddles.

But Pierre shakes his head and then marches you and Charles to the living room. He pushes you both to the couch and fluffs the pillows around you two, he even grabs some blankets to put on you and Charles.

"Pierre?" you ask gently, "you gonna join us?"

Pierre shakes his head, "Bunny needs food," he says, then adds, "stay" and runs back to the kitchen to finish preparing the snack you were making before all of this happened.

You know better than to question him on this, because you know there's no way Pierre will calm until he thinks both his mates have been cared for, and he wouldn't think that if bunny goes hungry.

So finally once the snack is ready and in charles's hands, Pierre joins you both on the couch and can finally get cuddles.

He also doesn't let you or Charles out of his sight for the rest of the night.

Alright so it would appear that my thoughts did not need to stay in the drafts because this is AMAZING. I’m gonna tag all of these thoughts with ‘hybrid!au’ and then a specific animal and driver for each (like this is bunny!charles). Anyway, let’s do this!!!

Firstly, Charles requires pets every second of every day from you and Pierre. He’s actually very particular about who can pet him. Because he’s a bunny, people tend to think they can just scratch his ears whenever. He knows his ears are all big and floppy and very soft, but they can’t just touch them!! His ears are sensitive!!!!

But his mommy and his Pierre?? They can scratch his ears all the time!! In fact they MUST scratch his ears all the time. It is required.

Nothing makes him sleep better than getting ear scratches, it can honestly make him fall asleep within minutes. It’s just so nice!!

So obviously he requires his ears be scratched and petted and loved on by you or Pierre (preferably both), in order to sleep nicely. He HATES sleeping alone, which is pretty common for bunnies (he and Arthur used to share a bed growing up and just have endless bunny cuddles), but honestly his hatred for sleeping alone doubles once he gets with you and Pierre. Because how can he be expected to sleep on his own after that??

He also never actually asks for ear scratches at night? He’ll ask during the day, but at night you and Pierre must simply read his mind.

What he will do, however, is just toss and turn until one of you starts petting him. He’ll even let out dramatic little sighs if he isn’t being pet after a few seconds of tossing.

Whoever starts petting him first will get the prize of having him sleep against their chest!! He’ll just squeak and smile and go right into your arms or Pierre’s arms, wriggling a little as he gets comfortable and enjoying his pets.

Whosever didn’t pet him first must then be the big spoon and hug him from behind. (It should be known that whenever is the big spoon runs the risk of waking up due to being unable to breath from a bunny ear over their face but that’s a risk worth taking).

Especially if he's feeling particularly stressed? Then he really needs to know his pack is happy and safe. He'll have a bad day and when he gets home he'll just haul you and Charles to the bedroom and fetch everything you two could need. He doesn't want you two stepping out of the room, wants to know his mates are happy and safe and comfortable.

And he is made for hugs!! His chest is the comfiest place on earth, you and Charles are both convinced. Bunny needs at least one hug a day during a race weekend to be able to function, but preferably multiple hugs.

Oh and when Pierre hugs you and Charles, he wraps his tail around you too? Like he just wants to make sure that you and Charles are don't move away. He'll also use his tail to keep you two close in public, he'll have his arm wrapped around one of you and his tail around the other.

You and Charles find his protectiveness amusing, but you both also love it so much. Especially Charles. He's just a little bunny and LOVES that there's this strong wolf hybrid looking after him and his mommy.
