Dartz had to be away from his kingdom for a day or two. Sometimes his job required foreign visits. This was one such case. Hm. This world seemed similiar to the one the Atlantean knew. But it was not the same world. In fact...
Nobody knew him at all here. There were some people Dartz knew by face. People who would have bad blood with him normally. Not in this world. Indeed... They did not recognize him at all.
"How curious." He muttered. Well... This was one trip where Dartz did not need to keep his cloak's hood up. When the time came for a break? He visited a cafe. His golden hues fixated on the person who just so happened to be in line with him. In front of him even.
"Atem...?"
Dartz attempted to move back but... Too late. Someone else was behind him and the line would keep growing.
Oh well...
To say he was anxious was an understatement. Oh. Oh no... Now this Atem was looking at him.
"I... Ah... Sorry. You look like... Someone I know."

She can still hear his laughing, even now.
I’ve done some terrible things, and thanks to Atem I’m starting to forgive and earn redemption. What more do I have to do?

It was just another day at the bar. Yami was one of the favorites due to his charisma and skill. Sometimes customers wanted to play a game with him. Which, of course, they tended to lose but it was a fun time if said customer was not a sore loser. Yami had just bested a customer when another seemed to come by. So he returned to the counter and smiled.
"Apologies for the delay. What would you like?"

Yami kept an arm around Yugi to guide him.
"It's me."
He said to keep the other calm. While Yami didn't know what caused the carnage here, he was not going to let Yugi see it. And hopefully, not step in anything either.
"I have a good reason for this, I promise. Don't worry. I'll guide you."

Yami had trouble controlling his breathing at first. He hated tight spaces. Including elevators. It was too much like the Puzzle for his comfort. Yami felt Yugi cuddle up against him. Causing him to glance over. His anxiety melting away as the king moved his arms around Yugi.
"Aibou." Yami said softly. Holding him tightly. "Sorry. And... Thank you."

Yami set out a Duel Monsters card on the ground. He had chosen a secluded location outside. Just in case the magic might destroy something in his apartment. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes. Yami gathered the Orichalcos magic into his palms. Holding them above the card.
"Rise Spirit! Heed my call!"
The creature sparked to life. Green energy pulsing around it's body. A mark appearing on its forehead. Yes! He had done it! Unfortunately, the monster ran off before Yami could give any orders.
Shit... Now he had to go and catch the thing before someone got eaten.

"Yeah. Just... A minute. But please stay close."
Yami took a moment to breathe. He needed to calm down. His anger was more out of control than usual. A lot had happened recently. His emotions were... All over the place. Not good when he still had the curse.

Yami squirmed. He couldn't reach his sword like this. Frustrating...
"I would say let me go... But you didn't do that last time. What do you want?"

"Despair, misery, and chaos. It’s like air to me. But to watch them suffer is much more entertaining.”(chaosmarik)
"While I cannot deny there is some enjoyment in suffering... I don't think I like where you are going with this."
