Supportive design. Small, lightweight and adaptable, it tucks neatly under or behind the limbs, providing the ideal postural support. Especially useful for paediatric care, those with weak muscles or having to stay in the same position for long periods of time.
Particularly helpful for the elderly who are frail or those in wheelchairs or suffering with restrictive conditions such as Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy and Multiple Sclerosis.
What's more, microbeads help prevent restricted blood flow from the skin being squashed between bone and a hard surface, and reduce friction to avoid pressure sores.

‘Unseen’ Parts of SCI Package.....
From 10/10/17
Wow! What a ‘journey’......I wouldn’t wish a pressure sore on anyone but it’s been the most incredible thing to witness......I’ve seen it from the start; a raised, red, hot area of skin (hoping against hope that I’d ‘caught’ it in time) that developed into what seemed like a ‘superficial’ wound intially. But the damage underneath slowly revealed itself.....seeing it change through the various stages has been gruesome yet astonishing.....our bodies are amazing! It’s still healing and I’m seeing positive changes each day.....the end is in sight (yet still weeks/months away).......
The photos on my mobile from my ‘summer’ do not make good viewing but they’ll be a permanent reminder of why we (people with reduced/no sensation in areas of our bodies) need to remain vigilant.....it’s wonderful to be up and out & about again! Look after yourselves everyone....
Happy Tuesday!! Xxxx 😃😘

Consult With the Best Solicitor to Claim Pressure Sores Compensation
Pressure sores is a medical condition, which develops when prolonging pressure is applied to the skin of bony areas. It’s a debilitating issue that usually happens to old-age people or those with mobility issues. However, many people develop pressure sores while in the hospital or private nursing care. But, it should not happen! Because it is the caregiver’s responsibility to provide adequate care to the patients. They should change the patient’s position regularly, provide them protective mattresses, and more. If the caregiver fails to provide sufficient care, and a patient develops pressure sores, then they might be entitled to claim pressure sores compensation. For that purpose, they should hire a trusted and experienced solicitor to get advice on how & when to make a pressure sores claim.
The solicitors are qualified, experienced, and knowledgeable persons who will help you claim your compensation. To get started, it’s vital for you to search the best solicitor as there are hundreds of legal firms present out there. You should check the potential firm’s website carefully—it will help you identify the firm’s experience, credibility, and other important policies. Once you find the right solicitor, discuss your case with them. They will analyze the case and if they find this is all happen as a result of medical negligence, then they will help you proceed with your claim. These experts will strive to get you the right compensation, like if you are suffering from level 2 pressure sores, then you are eligible to get the Grade 2 pressure sores compensation.
Moreover, you should hire a solicitor who is operating at no win no fee basis so that you won’t have to pay anything in case of an unsuccessful claim. So, without any second thought, approach an outstanding solicitor to claim either of the Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3, or Grade 4 pressuresores compensation.

My poor foot. The bottom of it is gnarly and I can't wear an ace wrap any longer because the top of it is getting a pressure sore. Ugh. All I want to do is go grocery shopping dammit, stop! #selfinflicted #pressuresore #rubbedfeet #ugh

I've got cellulitis (a bacterial infection in the skin) in my leg, a pressure sore on my thigh, and friction blisters on my foot. Doctor said it's not really super bad yet and he thinks it will get better with oral antibiotics and wound care. It should improve in 24-48 hours and if it doesn't I need to see my dr or come back. We'll see, I guess. 3 different conditions on 3 different areas of my body at the same time. Only me, I swear. #celluitis #spinabifida #pressuresore #blisters

‘Unseen’ parts of SCI Package....
From 24/9/17......
What a difference a week makes.....to all my wheelie friends - continue to be vigilant with your skin....after the best part of 4 months on 24/7 bed rest due to a pressure sore it’s wonderful to be up, mobile and out & about! 😄
Still a long way to go before it’s healed fully (could be another few months) but it could have been prevented if I’d checked the whole of my mattress area after someone else had changed the bed sheet for me and accidentally left the connector socket of an electric blanket perfectly positioned for me to lie on, causing enough pressure to starve my skin & underlying tissue of oxygen. 😞
I’ve been lucky to have had love & support through this very frustrating period but the summer’s been and gone and the district nurses are still visiting alternate days to check on progress (or otherwise)and re-dress the wound......21 years post-injury and this is the first time I’ve experienced a pressure sore (never mind grade 4) that’s prevented me from getting up in my chair. It doesn’t take long for significant damage to be done (mine took less than 2 hours). Not looking for sympathy - just a gentle reminder for all those vulnerable in this way to stay as safe as possible. #spinalcordinjury
