Yes! Pretty Cure 5! Redesigns

I was inspired by the yes5! and gogo! designs for each Cure, and I'm really happy with how they turned out. I think maybe Mint and Aqua need a lighter "base" colour but I'm otherwise very proud of these, and I think I like how cohesive they are without looking too similar overall.

Even if a few days late, I'm now posting a drawing I've been working on recently that is supposed to be my celebration for the 20th Anniversary of the Pretty Cure franchise 🥳

Now that a new series is coming out, I think it's a good time to celebrate the OGs too before a new Pretty Cure team will continue this franchise 😄

Also, I hope my Japanese calligraphy is decent bc I'm not a native Japanese and I'm still learning the language 😅

I liked Delicious Party Pretty Cure and I don't think it deserves all the hate it gets.

Now I understand why a lot of people don't like the season, because it is a very and I mean VERY flawed season, it was very slowed paced and a lot of the main cast was not fleshed out very well (Yui and Ran) and the world building kind of sucked. But I think everyone does tend to over hate on it. Like I couldn't even finish watching Azen Zone's DPPC reviews because of how negative he was (no hate towards him tho, he's great) Besides isn't the point of watching Pretty Cure is to have fun?

But yeah I do think it does get hated on too much.

This year will mark the 20th season of Pretty Cure or Precure for short with Delicious Party will coming to an end soon and the next one Hirogaru Sky will take its place. However this season is going to be different as we are going to get a blue lead cure instead of a pink lead cure, as shown in the reveal.

My favourite season in Precure had to be Smile after watching the dub version on Netflix, I wasn’t aware that it was a precure until I search it up. The reason its my favourite is because I love the setting of this theme but to be honest, I also like Kira Kira and Star Twinkle too, you can say it they’re my top 3 precures.

For Dream, I really wanted to take the elements for Yes and GoGo that worked best and stick them together. I also upped the amount of pink by Igetting weird yellowish/green tones, and increased the butterfly theming. Of course I had to keep her absolutely ICONIC hair, it's just so beautiful.
