It's watering day, and we're getting a nice rain here, so I put the big kids outside for a bit. I love the way their leaves look with rain on them.

#the kids' names are Luke and Leia yes#they came in one pot and when i went to repot i realized they were twins. so#they were so so scraggly when i got them#previous owner had them barely supported with bamboo stakes and hair clips#and I'm pretty sure no grow light#in a Michigan winter#they were SO STRETCHED OUT#but I'm a stubborn fool and decided i was more interested in seeing if i could fix them up than in just having a nice monstera plant#so i got them moss poles and a grow light#and as soon as the weather permitted i put them on the enclosed porch#and oh BOY are they loving the light there#luke has put down THREE new aerial roots that i can see#Leia has two and might be about to start a third#their newest leaves are bigger than any of the ones they had when i got them#I'm crossing fingers we'll get some fenestrations soon as well#of course we are only two maybe three months away from frost season again#hopefully I'll be able to keep this momentum with grow lights after they come back inside
