(for those of u unfamiliar with vmv, sakareth and adulationis are two of the crowned demon princes - of wrath and of pride respectively. leviath is mentioned - hes the prince of envy)

going with a semi-established relationship for this one, hurt/comfort themes (also, takes place right after adu comes out as trans!!)

Sakareth wasn't good at comforting others. It was far from his strong suit, and pushed him out of his comfort zone. But for Adulationis... he hated seeing the younger prince look so upset and frightened, trying to hide it behind unwavering eyes and tightly pressed lips.

It was for that reason he sought the other prince out after they had been officially dismissed, braving the chance of Leviath's wrath to find Adulationis and offer him, at the very least, a hug. Finding Adulationis alone had been hard enough on its own, but actually speaking the words he'd thought of on the way over was harder. Eventually, he settled for holding his arms open, his pale face burning ruby red in an embarrassed flush.

Prince Adulationis simply stared at him, eyes colored the same as topaz blinking up at him in confusion. Then, the carefully crafted mask that concealed the other prince's emotions shattered, and Adulationis stumbled forward into his arms.

The other prince said nothing, which Sakareth was personally grateful for. He hadn't ever held someone before, but it felt nice. It was comfortable enough, even with the way Adulationis's shoulders shook softly, and he gently raised a hand to thread through the other's now short, dark hair.

"I like your new name," Sakareth murmured, and Adulationis whimpered, pulling himself closer to the other prince. He wrapped his inner pair of wings around them, cocooning them in a dim, red tinted light. "It fits you. Did you pick it out yourself?"

"Y-Yeah, I did," the prince of pride sniffled, letting go of Sakareth for a moment to wipe at his face. "I like it better than my old one."

Sakareth continued to gently run his hand through Adulationis's hair, smiling softly as the other prince leaned into his hold. He was beginning to calm down, his shaking starting to slow. Sakareth couldn't imagine how much courage it took to call the other six princes to the pride circle, reintroduce yourself to them, and then ask that you be referred to with entirely different pronouns. Seeing Adulationis wilt under Leviath's stoic, unreadable stare was part of what spurred Sakareth on to find the younger prince and comfort him.

"I don't want to make this weird," he muttered, and Adulationis tensed. "But I'm kinda... proud of you, I guess. That didn't look easy to do."

Adulationis snorted, and without pulling away, raised a hand and gently punched Sakareth's shoulder. The other prince's one set of wings rustled, adjusting themselves as Adulationis thought of his next words.

"I thought Leviath was having a heart attack," he murmured, unable to stop his smile. Sakareth snickered, and that in turn managed to pull a giggle from Adulationis.

"Good, then we'd finally be rid of the stupid old fucker," Sakareth joked, and Adulationis outright laughed, pulling back from the hug to look up at Sakareth with a wide, bright grin on his face. It made Sakareth's heart stutter, only for a moment. He'd never seen Adulationis look so happy before.

"Thanks, Prince Sakareth," Adulationis spoke, his grin falling into something more tender. "For- yeah, this. Nobody's ever done this for me before. So, thanks."

Sakareth blinked. Nobody had ever... offered basic comfort to Adulationis? Suddenly determined, he spoke again.

"It was no problem. Actually, you can just... come see me if you ever need someone to talk to, or... this kinda stuff. I don't mind it. Actually, I'd... really like it if you did." His voice cracked and died, but his gaze stayed determinedly on Adulationis, watching the other prince gape, process his offer, and give in.

"... Okay," Adulationis agreed, a shy yet daring looking smile on his face. "I will."

Sakareth huffed gently, pulling his wings back from Adulationis. He stepped back, turned halfway, and paused. Looking back at the prince of pride, he smiled, the other prince's new name rolling off his tongue for the first time.

"See you around then, Prince Adulationis."

Adulationis is a real prince

... A debatable opinion. In terms of rank, he is not a 'real prince'. He was born a common; that will not change.

In terms of power though, yes, absolutely. Having the power of Prince Lucixiur makes him a prince.

I suppose it depends on how you define 'real prince'. The majority of demons define it based on one's born, biological rank. When it comes to Prince Adulationis, however, he is only defined a prince by the power he possesses. That is why it is hard to determine whether or not this is true.

Cirxites of Pride

Ranked highest in the Cirxian hierarchy of xyntypes, Pride Cirxites can be identified by their orange and brown features, as well as the rhombus shape on the tips of their tails. Most Pride Cirxites thrive on attention, and are most often observed to have a general demeanor and attitudes of entitlement. This has led to a social and verbal cut-throat society, and often will cirxites on lower rungs of the social ladder do anything to climb up as far as possible. Though less common, some Pride Cirxites are otherwise observed to fiercely cheer on and bolster the confidence of those they hold dear, preferring to see their loved ones receiving the adulation instead of themselves.

Of all cirxites of all xyntypes, Pride Cirxites are the only xyntype to possess markings specific to their xyntype. 'Pride Marks' are patches of colored skin in the shapes of rhombuses, and are placed on the body dependent on biological rank. A common cirxite may have their pride marks anywhere on their waist down, a general cirxite may have their pride marks anywhere on their waist up, but only a royal cirxite has been observed to have their pride marks on their necks and faces. As many as nine and as few as three rhombuses have been observed to appear on Pride Cirxites' bodies. It has also been noted that, while other shapes are okay, Pride Cirxites find it particularly offensive if other cirxites paint or depict rhombuses on their bodies without being of the pride xyntype.

Pride Cirxites are also equipped with a natural sense of balance, often comfortable in their bodies and their minds. It is said by cirxites of other xyntypes that an unbalanced Pride Cirxite is simply just another cirxite, though whether that claim holds true has yet to be proven.

Since the death of the first and previous prince, the pride throne has since been occupied by his chosen successor; A common cirxite possessing the pride marks of the previous prince, which serve as his claim to the throne. As to why the first prince chose a common child as his successor has many puzzled, but majority opinion remains abundantly clear regarding the common cirxite on the throne; Prince Adulationis is unfit to lead the Pride Circle, and should step down immediately to avoid embarrassing the entire Pride Circle in front of the rest of Cirxia.

Cirxite: Also known as 'Demons' by those native to Terra, or 'Daemons' by those native to Angaea. As natives to the plane of Cirxia, they call themselves 'Cirxites'. Of their own species, they come in a base of seven unique different types, differentiated by color and shape. They are ranked biologically by their horns, wings, and tails, which are tipped with the corresponding shape indicative to their type. The highest rank, 'Royal', possess three sets of horns, three sets of wings, and a hollowed tail shape. The middle rank, 'General', possess two sets of horns, two sets of wings, and a regular tail shape. The lowest rank, 'Common', possess one set of horns, one set of wings, and a regular tail shape. Each of the seven different types is culturally observed to have only one Prinxe they serve.

i slapped some colors on those prinxe sketches i posted a while back lmao. these are the seven demon prinxes of cirxia, characters from my original project, Vampire-Mythoverse, or VMV for short. these guys constantly attack my brain, i love them dearly.

so i spent the past few days sketching out proper regular/default outfit styles for all my prinxes and rearranging them on a height chart!! i did also draw all of their wings (they all have three pairs, except adu) BUT their wings are so big and i do not have room for that </3 so ill probably post all their full sketches separately. later.

4. What is your least favorite childhood memory?

Adulationis blinks, fidgeting where he sits. Unconsciously, his hand reaches up to rest against his chest, clutching the fabric there.

"Um... Well," the Prince of Pride laughs, forcing a smile. "Probably when Prince Lucixiur forced all his power onto me. And then died. In front of me. Not fun."

Leviath doesn't move from his spot on the throne, a hand absent-mindedly running through the black fur of the sleeping fox on his lap.

"I did not have a childhood," the Prince of Envy says, his tone clipped and still. "But my most abhorred memories are of Prince Lucixiur. I will spare you the details."

"Where do I fucking start?" Sakareth cackles, leaning back on the ripped, battered couch that looked as though, once upon a time, it had been rather expensive. "My fucking mother is a bad memory all together. My challenge and my father was pretty fucked up too. Actually, I don't think I ever had a good moment in my childhood."

The Prince of Wrath sobers up at that, the manic grin fading from his face. He looks away and crosses his arms over his chest, scoffing. "Life fucking sucks."

"Mmrp?" Brolkoron blinks awake, squinting against the light. Their eyes drift shut, and they hum. "Leas' favorite childhood memory..."

The Prince of Sloth rolls over on the giant, fluffy, plush bed, stretching out with a satisfied sound. "Bein' locked 'n a room for thirty years, prob'ly. Wasn't fun."

Azodos doesn't look up from the cat on his lap, cooing to them under his breath and petting them. After a long moment, he speaks, still not looking up from his cat.

"Getting bullied by the other greedlings. Getting my scales ripped out." The Prinxe of Greed pauses, before giving a shrug. "When my mother gave me up. She didn't even name me."

Nammon leans against the wall outside the war room, sighing to themself. "I am unsure if it counts, because it happened when I was 0.19 years old. But..."

The Prinxe of Gluttony looks away, crossing their arms. "Watching my mom get eaten."

Asmarath's happy smile freezes. For a long moment, she's still, the smile fading off her face as her eyes go distant, lost in a memory.

"Coming home to nobody there," the Princette of Lust says softly, still lost in her thoughts.

on the topic of the prinxes of cirxia, a while back i coded* some personal blog pages for them that are only accessible from desktop because they deal with custom themes

but im still super proud of them, so here's some screenshots** of those pages!

* "coded" meaning i went in and made some modifications (with the coder's permission) to an already existing page code theme to get each page to visually look/function how it does now.

** all the art used in each page were gifts to me for these characters. all of it is credited and linked back to the artist's source, but i will be tagging each artist so you can all go support them!

5. What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?

A grin spreads across Adulationis' freckled face.

"Read!" The Prince of Pride answers cheerfully, swaying side to side on the window-seat cushion. "I didn't get to before I came to the castle. General Lexiuth had to teach me."

He pauses, and then looks down at his lap, seemingly embarrassed. "There's just... so much stuff I didn't know. And so many stories!"

Suddenly flustered, Adulationis ducks his head. "I just want to hear as many as I can."

"I do not have much free time," Leviath says slowly. The black fox in his lap sits up, stretching out, turning once, and laying down again. The Prince of Envy smiles, resting a hand on the little fox's head.

"When I do, however, have some time to myself, I like to spend time with my partner or my foxes," he answers easily. "And my foxes like to spend their free time getting up to mischief. Mocheh here is quite mellow, however. He's practically amicable compared to Chuvoh and Miavari."

"Pfft."

Sakareth gives a loud snort, and lounges back on the ripped couch. He relaxes his wings and leans his head over the back of the couch, and doesn't move when he speaks next.

"Now that," the Prince of Wrath sneers, sounding particularly nasty, "is none of your fucking business."

He refuses to say anything else.

"Nap," Brolkoron says, his voice slow and dripping with sleep. "Also like hangin' out with my sibs."

He rolls over and yawns, and an offended meow is heard, muffled under the blanket. A disgruntled persian cat pokes their head above the blanket, and upon locating Brolkoron, makes their way over to him and curls up on his back.

"Fluffy likes napping too," the Prinxe of Sloth murmurs, closing his eyes. "Likes cuddling."

"Going through my hoard!" Azodos doesn't look up from his lap, where a very contented Jangle is batting lazily at his hands. "Like to see what I do have and what I don't and what I can get in the future. Jangle likes tripping me, but it's okay because I love them."

Azodos doesn't say anything for a long moment, simply playing with Jangle.

"... I also like studying miasma. There's a lot of things you can do with it, but there's not very many resources on it. At least, that I've found. Did you know we cirixites can teleport if we refine our skill in Summon enough? It's hard to do, but we can do it if we want to learn how."

The Prince of Greed doesn't look up, but Jangle bats his hand, and he smiles.

"Free time...?"

The tactician looks lost, furrowing their brow. The shouts from the war room die down a bit, and Nammon looks over their shoulder at the door. Their eyes narrow.

"I am fighting a war. I have no time for free time." The Prinxe of Gluttony straightens up, leaning back against the wall again.

"I'll let you guess," the Prince of Lust says, winking and sticking his tongue out. He lets out a laugh, waving his hands a little. "Luckily for you, that's not the only thing I like to do."

Asmarath shifts, stretching his arms above his head. His feathered wings tense up behind him, and he takes a moment to stretch them out too, the brilliant purple plumage rustling gently over itself.

"I enjoy helping others whenever I can," he finally says, his tone contented and happy. "I like spending time with others, talking, catching up, a little bit of all of the above, really."
