This #Sculpture “was intended to humanize technogy...the resulting gurgles & spurts evoke a #RangeOfLandscapes, from #YellowstoneNationalPark & the #GeothermalMudPools to the #CrateredSurfaceOfTheMoon. According to #HerImperialHighness, #PrincessMelitaBonaparte, “This is all a bunch of nonsense. Upon the Eve of my #Installation as #CountessOfFlanders, I commissioned #RobertRauschenberg w/the #SimpleTaskOffSettingUpABubbleBath. #MisterBubbles, himself, wanted to help me be as relaxed as possible, I so wanted to serve the people of #Belgium 🇧🇪 & felt that being relaxed was showing my patriotic sense of duty. Instead of a bubble bath, I got all this #AgentOrange🍊 in a tub. No one could have survived that. He even got #NASA in on the act. I was so embarrassed to have to explain all of this #Dadaistic stuff to HM, #KingBaudoin.
