welcome back!! i'm excited to see the drinks you make, maybe i'll actually make them myself this time, haha! i'm glad gti is getting more love even if my current opinion of it is 'currently lowest but only because the others are all so good and also nostalgia + the gameplay gripes compared to the others gameplay being nice'. the characters seem to be worth it

on gates to infinity: i loved the plot, and i personally didn’t think the gameplay was that bad? it was definitely easier at points, but i like how using a move repeatedly powers it up, because it makes sense in an exploration team context to improve with training over time! And building paradise with all the extra items that come with it was really fun! Also ESPEON AND UMBREON POWER COUPLE!

the characters are so memorable imo - i definitely enjoyed gti way more than psmd (i’ve actually never finished psmd, it just wasn’t really my vibe)

I really miss the pixel artstyle however because it was just soooo pretty, and i think that art style change and use of g5 pokemon maybe affected the games reception? Not too sure. . . 

Also the whole camera function opening up random dungeons was super fun to kid me! 

Its no explorers, but i think its sooooo underrated

New Oc!!!!

This Character is not replacing Ripple. This is Aloevero or just Aloe or Vero for short. He came up after I let my imagination go wild while listening to to Walten files and the battington tapes. He and Hope have a sibling relationship and he comes up in a few Aus I’ve made. (Y E S I Have More Don’t Judge Me). I may do some more pixel art since I finally found a good app that works for me.

For anyone who has seen the Walten files and/or the Battington Tapes and are wondering how I got this wholesomeness, I got some edgier drawing in the back of my gallery you’ll see . . . Eventually

honestly gates to infinity is SUPER poorly made - especially compared to older ones.. a good game, yeah, but it most certainly falls short compared to the others. its also incredibly limited in terms of what pokemon can be recruited. good concept, poorly executed. i suggest super mystery dungeon tbh,!

it… it really is… the dungeon gameplay feels so clunky… the only thing i like is that you can quick access your whole moveset with the l button and not just one single set move, that’s nice. other than that, this game feels… bad, so far. playable, and i’m gonna finish it and reserve major judgement ‘til then, but so far im not liking it. the extremely limited starter choices and the story so far annoy me, as well…

i have played super mystery dungeon before though, i liked that one! not perfect, but i liked it. gti is the only pmd i’ve never played (barring the japan-only wiiware games, and even including all versions of rescue + explorers, haha), hence why i’m trying it out now! and honestly… it and psmd, too, could take… so many notes from explorers of sky… EoS is honestly still the best in the series, and i really hope that the gen 7 pmd if one comes out takes after sky a little more than this and psmd did. something about sky (and rescue team, too! that one had tons of charm!) is so good and these are just paling in comparison…
