As I’ve been packaging the newest series of Nerfect Pug Surprise plush toys, I’ve been pulling some samples to photograph for the eventual Etsy listing. . Not only are there revised versions of the Tricky and Buddy designs that started this whole line off a decade ago right there in the middle, but there are some small tributes to Rufus who recently passed. First, as he was inspiration for the black pug, Buddy, I included a toy version of one of his favorite treats, French fries. No matter how old and mellow he got, he always turned back into a puppy when fries were around. . It’s taken a bit longer than we expected, but Rufus and I have almost completed all the character designs for the eighth series of Nerfect Pug Surprise toys. With most of our regular shows and exhibitions cancelled due to the pandemic, we’ve used the time to tackle our long list of character ideas in order to return with a truly spectacular variety for this year’s release. .
