i ship li lianhua's lying ass with di feisheng and/or fang duobing as much as the next person but as far as it was shown in the show, you can't deny that 10 years ago he loved qiao wanmian. Even if he was trying to convince her that what they had wasn't really love, that they were young and didn't know anything about relationships, I think that as a young person back then, what he felt for her was as genuine of a love as he was capable of feeling in that moment of his life. And what he's saying to her 10 years down the line, is just something he needed to say to help her move on from him, because he's had time to move on from her. Even though deep in his heart, he still cares about her very much, it's no longer the romantic love that it once was. I don't think that part of his character should be erased. I don't think qiao wanmian was his beard, she was an ex.
