Hi ! Can I have some ideas for a mortal character !

of course, anon ! especially because i would love to get some mortals here too ! perhaps a university student ; a new artist with an exhibition at the asfour gallery ; perhaps a politician who’s suspicious about all the sudden deaths in the city ; someone working at the bookshop ; an older mortal who’s seen certain faces around the city for decades and they haven’t aged a day ; i’d always love some more musicians –– i’m playing one and we’ve got apps for two more ! –– maybe a dj who plays at the coliseum but has zero idea that immortals exist, that’d be so fun. and you always have the option of changing your mortal muse into an immortal !

oh, anon –– i have so many ideas for you ! since i’d like to keep arthur 35+, some of my faves for him would be peter gadiot, fawad khan ( ultimate fave for arthur ), riz ahmed, brian tee, lewis tan, tom hopper, mahesh jadu, manish dayal, kivanc tatlitug, daniel henney, nick sagar, laith ashley, yahya abdul-mateen ii, chris pang, jesse williams, steven yeun, michael b jordan, sam heughan, charles michael davis, martin sensmeier, and if you were looking for someone a little older –– pedro pascal, sterling k brown, and danny pino !

This might be a stupid question but do the immortals go by different names/ have normal jobs in order to fit in or can they just be themselves ?

this is actually a really good question, anon ! 

for the most part, it’s both: so while they can have normal jobs to fit in, they don’t have to –– you can actually write NOTHING in the occupation section of the app. they can also keep their names and whatnot ; the only requirement is that they’re not openly immortal / letting mortals know they’re immortal, but everything else is completely up to you ! 

but they can also change their names or go by nicknames. an example of this would be my character –– i’m playing patroclus, and while i’m keeping his name as patroclus, he’s just going to joke about it with mortals and say his parents just loved greek mythology. but he’ll usually go by a nickname.

hi, hello –– of course !! they’re just little things that describe the overall vibe and small little details about your muse –– whether it’s something they wear, something they smell like, their laugh or smile or their eyes ; just a little phrase to explain your character !!

will ooc plotting open tonight? or will plotting and interactions open at the same time?

plotting will open tonight ; i’ll be sending out discord links as blogs come in, and if there’s anyone who doesn’t want to join the discord group ( the most valid! ), i’ll be opening an ooc channel right here on tumblr so everyone can plot !! 

interactions will open on wednesday, just so everyone’s had time to work on intros && plot with each other && maybe even do the first task i’ll be posting later today !!

absolutely !! i would love to have lesser known historical figures !! it’s actually very well known figures + controversial figures that i’m steering away from –– but there’s a place for everyone else here, and i’ll be setting up events and plot drops and surprises for everyone to ensure that every character ( lesser known and ocs included ! ) are just as loved and involved as everyone else !!

When you say you're accepting earlier, what do you mean by that?

my original plan was to have acceptances at fifteen apps ; but because i know quite a few applicants have messaged about how excited they are to get started, i think it would just be unfair to keep everyone waiting !! so we’ll now be holding acceptances before that point, most likely on monday night !!
