TOUCHSTARVED WISH LIST:
✦ Vere going absolutely feral after he sees the MC getting hurt ✦
It's a Soulless that hurts them? The monster barely gets a swipe in before Vere is on it. He's ripping it apart with his fucking teeth. He can't stop growling, even after the thing is already dead, blood dripping down his face, splattering his chest, smeared all over his chains.
He's a force of nature - beautiful and deadly in equal measure.
His ears are going to stay pinned back for a while. He can't relax. MC can try to calm him down and comfort him but his disposition won't go back to normal until he's satisfied. (Satisfied with patching them up, fussing over them in a way that's just this side of an insult.) He'll take them to bed, but only in the most literal sense. (He just wants to listen to their heartbeat with his tail wrapped around them until he feels better.)
. . . But what if it is a human who does it? Say, someone from the Senobium…
Vere wants to blot them from the face of the earth but he can't. Not with the collar on. He has to resort to trickery or manipulation if he wants MC's assailant to stop.
(And he has to act unaffected. He can't let on…)
It's absolutely maddening because he could squash their attacker like a bug if he wasn't so chained. He wouldn't have to watch this happen if -- he shouldn't have to watch this happen, they're his -- but he can't stop it, not the way he wants to. His hackles are up. His claws absolutely itch with the need to tear this vermin to shreds. His handlers will write it off as hunger, blood lust. (They'll be right, if only partially.)
Bonus Points: Vere seeks Kuras' help willingly in order to save MC's life.
The MC getting grievously injured…
Vere picking them up bridal style and carrying them to Kuras' clinic.
He doesn't wait in the line. (Not that there's going to be much of a line, people scatter like rats once they see his face.)
He'll break down the goddamn door if he has to. He doesn't say a word, just snarls at Kuras and refuses to be removed from the room while MC is treated.
(Does he fume in the corner the whole time? Or does he hover near Kuras, distrusting the angel, accepting the proximity despite his distaste?)
Kuras doesn't say anything either. He just gets to work.

Day 51 - Xela, Guatemala
These posts will properly get updated asap.
Upload speed is terrible. For whatever reason uploading works on social media but just crashes for large posts on here + email. Hoping posts on here are good in my next town. Maybe photos as well otherwise will have to be when I'm in Antigua for those! (Over a week from now - 11 July).
Final day at Celas Maya!
1. Final day of school! I'm so excited to get moving this weekend! One week in Xela or even a few days was probably a tad more than I needed. My final day of class Oscar slammed me with a serious number of irregular conjugations so (if I have time!) these are going to keep me very busy on the hike this weekend.
2. As part of the morning tea break we had the weekly graduation for the school. I think its usually held on the Friday night but this week there was a change. Myself and 3 others graduated and we all got a wee certificate for the hours we've studied at the school which is nice !
3. While I'd done a mediocre amount of exploring Xela I thought I better finish off the walking tour on my last day of all the sites! Well it wasn't hard to be honest. I think Xela is Guatemalas second biggest city but it doesnt draw the same number of visitors as Antigua or the towns around Lake Atitlan as it is just that, a city. It also lacks the sunshine the other two spots hold. The wander was to the town square, down a nice lane, to a pretty redundant bridge over a street (from when there wasn't drainage so the streets would flood), up to the markets and I tried to find the cemetary which I think is meant to be really colorful but I got lost and ended up going home to prepare to pack for tomorrow!
4. Tomorrow I commence this longest hike/trek/tramp I've ever completed and we had a meeting at 6pm to prep for this. It was only a 10 minute walk(ish) and I walked so I knew the way incase I can't get a cab at 5.30am tomorrow morning. On arrival we were given a safety sheet to fill out (allergies etc) and then were told under our seat was the communal food we'd need to carry. All in all there were 10 of us doing the trek plus 2 guides so a medium sized group. We would need to carry our packs, clothes, sleeping bags, bed rolls as well as communal food and a recommended 3L of water a day. They had everything available to borrow but I opted to use my own pack (its comfey!) and borrowed a bed mat, sleeping bag and a rain poncho (plus a bag to put my stuff in which I wont take with me on the hike and will meet me in San Pedro). While we had this meeting I got to hold a wee 5 week old puppy that had been rescued from another mountain (they found him lost at 4500m above sea level battling life!). He was super cute but unfortunately is unlikely to be a trek dog due to a bung leg. The company I'm doing the trek through is Quetzatrekkers which is a charity organisation so those taking the hike are volunteers. Once we'd collected our stuff we said adios till the morning!
5. Back at the house I had my final dinner with the family! It was nice, some more rice and beans! I'm sure I've put on a crazy amount of weight this week. Then I went and met other students from school for a drink at the local bar. Lucky for me it was just a stones throw from my house. At around 11pm they were changing bars and that was my queue to leave - I still needed to pack my bags for the morning! It ended up being a pretty late night (I have a 5.30am wake up!). Sorting the bags proved tricky as the one thing with my pack is there are no straps so 3L of water and a sleeping bag and I was almost there. Luckily I managed to get it all in and closed by 12.30pm. Popped a melatonin to induced some zzzz's quick smart!
