You Wanted To Make Him Proud
Summary: Red Son and MK have a conversation (turned kinda argument) about expectations and legacy. You gotta give Red Son credit for trying
Word Count: 2,460
Red Son grumbled his way out of the water, absolutely and utterly drenched.
No Dragon Girl, he had said. I don’t want to have a splash fight, I want to have a peaceful wade in the water without your meddling . You’ve already soaked me once -
Of course, the moment he had said that a devilish grin appeared on her face, and it was over. Suddenly, there was an ancient family sword summoned and a green transparent dragon’s tail sending a wave in his direction. As if that was even fair—Red Son used fire magic, he was out of his element, literally.
Mei would be happy to learn she remained the most annoying person Red Son knew, and he was at a beach full of annoying people.
He huffed, glaring at the Dragon Horse Girl all the way to his family, spot in the sand. He reached into his bag, shuffling the contents around until he found what he was looking for—a purple towel with the Demon Bull Family crest displayed on its center.
At least the Noodle Boy hadn’t ganged up on him with Mei. If that had happened, Red Son doubted he would have even made it out of the water—which was both lucky and strange. Where had the Noodle Boy gone? Off to tend to his sunburn, perhaps?
the rest is on AO3 babyyyyy
