Olá galera, hoje lançamos o nosso primeiro podcast. A idéia era antiga, mas depois de fazer um trabalho de escola no estilo “podcast”, percebemos que a idéia poderia ser levada a diante. Não é nossa intenção levar isso como um projeto sério, é algo feito casualmente, apenas para diversão.

Random fancasting --> Children of Elaena Targaryen: Dan Stevens as Jon Waters // Saoirse Ronan as Jeyne Waters

“Following in Daena’s footsteps, she bore the bastard twins Jon and Jeyne Waters to Alyn Velaryon, Lord Oakenfist.”

With Valyrian blood on both sides, these twins were probably as beautiful as true Targaryens.

Random fancasting --> People of Dorne: Gabriella Wilde as Cassella Vaith

“After the Submission of Sunspear, Aegon escorted the hostages that the king had gathered from the lords of Dorne back to King’s Landing. Among them was Cassella Vaith, a willowy maid with green eyes and pale white-blond hair, whom Aegon ended up keeping ‘hostage’ in his own chambers. When the Dornishmen revolted and murdered King Daeron, all the hostages were to be killed, and Aegon - by then bored of her - returned Cassella to her place with the other prisoners.”

Tall, willowy and sweet-faced, this seems like a natural fancast for the king’s mistress from the sands of Dorne.

Random fancasting --> Children of Elaena Targaryen: Josh Whitehouse as Robin Penrose // Tabrett Bethell as Laena Penrose // Dakota Fanning as Jocelyn Penrose // Rachel Hurd-Wood as Joy Penrose

“She married thrice in later years, twice at a king's behest and once for passion. She gave birth to seven children, then declared that if seven was sufficient for the gods it would do for her as well.”

These four children of a Targaryen princess aren’t mentioned individually or given personality traits at all, but it’s fun to think about what they might be like. Robin, as the only boy and heir, would be conscious of his duties and responsibilities - but I also think he’s popular amongst the girls, with a Targaryen look to his features, and an innate love for music. Laena, the eldest of the girls, inherited the true Targaryen look from her mother, but is as wild as her aunt Daena. Jocelyn is the one who’s always being compared to her beautiful and outgoing older sister, whilst she herself is considered plainer and prefers books to company. Joy, the youngest, is the darling of the Penrose clan and possesses her mother’s intelligence along with refined Penrose features that are considered very attractive - she’s the “little princess” of her mother’s brood.

“The slender mystery knight known only as the Serpent in Scarlet also had a great following; when finally defeated and unmasked, ‘he’ proved to be a woman, Jonquil Darke, a bastard daughter of the Lord of Duskendale.”

As has been stated in the series, girls get the coats of arms whilst bastards get the swords... so what do bastard girls get? The notorious Scarlet Serpent with an unknown mother defies the norms.

Random fancasting --> House Frey: Zooey Deschanel as Walda daughter of Walton (Fair Walda)

“ ‘Everyone thought my lord would choose Fair Walda,’ Lady Walda Bolton told Ser Wendel, shouting to be heard above the music. ‘My lord grandfather offered Roose his bride’s weight in silver as a dowry, though, so my lord of Bolton picked me. I weigh six stone more than Fair Walda, but that was the first time I was glad of it. ‘I’m Lady Bolton now and my cousin’s still a maid, and she’ll be nineteen soon, poor thing.’ ”

It’s hard to keep all the Frey girls and boys straight, but it’s the ones with nicknames who stand out a little more. For this fair maiden, I imagine the lovely Zooey Deschanel would fit the part.

Random fancasting --> House Baratheon: Manu Bennett as Orys

“It is said that Baratheon unchained her with his own hands, wrapped his cloak around her, poured her wine, and spoke to her gently, telling her of her father’s courage and the manner of his death. And afterward, to honor the fallen king, he took the arms and words of the Durrandon for his own. The crowned stag became his sigil, Storm’s End became his seat, and Lady Argella his wife.”

A man with as much screen cred as any method actor who starred in the show, Manu Bennett perfectly fits the wild and stormy personality of this character.

Random fancasting --> House Baratheon: Drew Barrymore as Cassandra

“The eldest of the ‘Four Storms,’ Lady Cassandra had been briefly betrothed to King Aegon II during the last year of his life (and possibly to his brother Aemond One-Eye before that). Disappointment had turned her sour, her detractors said; once her father’s heir at Storm’s End, she found herself of little account in King’s Landing, and bitterly resented having to care for the weepy, feeble-witted child queen whom she blamed for all her woes.”

One of the oddest things about the four Baratheon sisters is that we don’t have any conception of exactly how old any of them are at any given time, except for the youngest (and this only to inform us of when she married and died). By the time she was married off, Cassandra could have been any age from nineteen to thirty.
