Audrey kept munching on her sandwich, ever-amused with every item Teddy kept pulling out, like some sort of bottomless Marry Poppins-esque bag. “Should I start calling dibs now on what I wanna take if we don’t finish this all, or do we do that later?” She teased him with a tilt of her head, gaze momentarily shifting towards the pie he had taken out of the basket. His next words took her out of appreciating the picnic laid out around them for a moment, her eyes quickly finding him. She raised a brow ever so slightly. “My girl?” she’s not necessarily bothered by it– more gently amused as the corner of her lips curls up a bit. “That’s an interesting concept.”

❝ You can have it all to take home, if you want. Except for the pie. ❞ That was store-bought, no one in their family was especially good at baking. ❝ Apple is my favorite. ❞ A grin took his lips as he took it out and put it on the picnic blanket beneath them. It was covered with a wide array of foods and snacks, a great feast           probably too much for just two people. 

❝ I think that’s it, aside from some tasty juiceboxes ! ❞ Theodore was a confident boy, an optimist. The thought of rejection never occurred to him but when she spoke in response to his little name for her, he couldn’t help but frown slightly. He rubbed the back of his neck in an embarrassed fashion. ❝ I mean, if you don’t like it you don’t have to be but... it’d make me... super happy if you did ! ❞
