had breakfast with my mom and my grandmother and was delightfully smacked in the face with the realization that I get to experience our culture as easy as breathing

#halfway thru a taco de barbacoa and my brain lit up #listening to my mom and grandma speak rapid fire spanish #reading the menu from a local tortilleria and knowing what every single item on it is #the fact that we have foods we only eat on certain days and at certain times of day!#its so natural to me but i realized how foreign it might all be to someone who didnt grow up w all mexican grandparents/parents #and anyways i need to appreciate it more <3
