Hey everyone! Thank you to all who participated in the voting; I was admittedly quite surprised when H2Ds won- pleasantly surprised really! 🥰 If I’m gonna be honest, I was low-key hoping it would win 👀 I have such a soft spot for this game :P

Since it's also a ship of yours, how about 🧡💚💘 for David Swallow x Letoile Becquerel? I think it sounds interesting as a ship and well, would be nice to have a bit more about it, like for a lot of rare pairs 🥰

Hi there, friend! Thank you so much for this ask! I was so excited when I saw it that I just wanted to answer it immediately (since I just thinking about them earlier and wanted to keep that momentum 🥰). It is definitely a rare pair, but I've always been really fond of it. I really like Letoile and David as characters (they're both my "Little Trees" 🌲), and the idea of them as a pairing is just so incredibly fun to me because they're so different from each other but I can see them complementing each other really well. In my Future Problems Universe, they are married with three kids, so even though I don't really talk about them (and never finished the story I started writing about them 😅), I secretly love them. 💖 This one of my favorite Black Clover ships, to be perfectly honest with you, and I'm really happy to have the opportunity to give them some attention! 🥰

David Swallow x Letoile Becquerel Headcanons

🧡-- Childhood/Backstory

David and Letoile didn't really get off on the right foot as they were both selected for the Golden Dawn at the same time (from the same entrance exam) when they were 15 and as the newest members were often compared to each other and forced to team up despite their wildly different personalities. Letoile found David to be wild, boisterous, immature, and irresponsible, and David thought she was a real stick in the mud and would tease her for being uptight and a killjoy. In my mind, he developed romantic feelings for her early on, but (as a teenager), he handled them in a very immature way (mostly by joking around about them inevitably dating one day and/or about her "clearly" being in love with him) which was off-putting to her and made it difficult to see that he was actually, genuinely interested in her and not just teasing her. She made it clear that she wasn't interested, and, I think, in her mind, she really considered him the absolute last person that she would ever want to go out with (perhaps even to the extent of being a little too insistent on this).

However, as they time passes and they deepen their friendship, she really comes to know him better and build more of a respect for him, and she eventually realizes (to her horror, lol. I'm just kidding) that she might actually be open to a relationship with him (in one of those classic "...oh. Oh no." moments 😂). But of course, being Letoile, she tells no one, until she sorts out her feelings. Meanwhile, practically everyone and their grandmother knows how David feels about her--like this big open secret. His attempts to hide his own interest have been nothing but utter failures, and though the majority of the Golden Dawn is pretty convinced that Letoile will never return David's affection, there is no doubt in their minds that it's Letoile standing in the way of this relationship because David (despite his protests to the contrary) would give just about anything for a chance to pursue a relationship with her. They are all genuinely surprised when Letoile eventually agrees to go out with him (but David himself is by far the most surprised--though he'd probably have a difficult time admitting that to their friends). 😊

💚-- General

Back in the early days of their friendship, one of the first gifts David ever gave to Letoile was a compass because it reminded him of her magic. (Giving presents isn't always the easiest thing in the world for him😅). In the future (after they are in a romantic relationship with each other), he is genuinely shocked to learn she still has it and has kept it on her desk all these years. She insists she kept it because it was practical (but, secretly, she appreciates the sentimental value). It is sitting on her desk at the Golden Dawn to this day.

💘-- Romance

David is a really talented dancer, and he absolutely loves dancing with Letoile (even though she is not much of a dancer herself). When they are married, one of his favorite things is dancing with her in random rooms around their house. If she teasingly points out that there is no music, he will provide accompaniment by humming or singing songs himself (sometimes purposefully/playfully badly just to tease her). 💖

this was really fun for me, I know that the cast gets a good amount of votes on other polls but I also have seen quite a few people who voted solely based on things like "well Clover IS purple… AND has a hammer!" or "IDK who Val is but she's cute and black so" So I ddidn't know for sure how much ppl will participate lol. Plus I know the MWDH fanbase is still pretty small all things considered, and despite how arrogant I might act, inside my expectations are often a lot lower than I show on the outside lol. So seeing even more than like a hundred votes is always really cool.

Some of the battles were really surprising. I picked the round one match-ups on a mix of randomization and my better judgement on which characters I thought would be a fair match against. Although with less Crystal Warriors on the bracket, it did make it difficult to chose who Valerie would go up against LOL. I said a few times on my personal accounts that I wanted a final match up to be Clover up against Valerie or Zacharie. I felt that Zacharie is one of the more beloved characters and the possibility existed that they'd make it. I didn't think Zacharie actually would to be honest... I wasn't confident they could get past Val lol. But I really didn't expect her to sweep so HARD lmaooo. I also briefly forgot what kind of community I have been fostering, namely you people are GOOFY AS HELL!!! I did NAWT expect the frog to get as far as it did, And I thought Liam would at least die with dignity lmao. and I kind of feel bad for Ethan now. his second match was mean 😭... I 100% didn't think Liam would make it to the finals but since Liam vs Clover is the true rivals duo, i had to make sure the opportunity existed. They wouldn't want it any other way. If I had been 100% sure Alex was getting in, I'd have matched him with Liam instead at the start, but during the matching I had Alex's spot listed as "reserved" in case I ended up having Diana in his plac.

I feel like Val's mom against Clover in round 1 might seem silly to some but Val's mom is like, surprisingly popular lol. She had a fair shot imo, and honestly? She did pretty well. it's not like she was totally demolished. And I definitely made the correct choice to put Val opposite to Clover, I think if anyone would be a fair match it would be them for the finals. I think maybe the frog was the only other one who coulda done it, because you people are jokesters.

Anyways ill do more polls here since there are characters that didnt get in, and I'm sure the results will change as more episodes will release lmao. I'll also just use this as a general poll account so I can keep the main mwdh account clean, and I might post other magical girl polls here bc this is my account and I can do that :p

Yay!!! Congrats on 175 followers and finishing your paper! I am just about to start on my research paper journey lol rip. I would like a matchup with a character of any gender, please! I am a girl, 20 years old. I have a very chill, laid-back personality and I try not to get involved in any drama (although I love hearing about it!). I would definitely describe myself as an extrovert who gets along with all types of people! I am a huge "comedian" and love making other people laugh (I'm a bad joke connoisseur). I am a very organized, involved person and most comfortable when I'm the one in charge, whether it's in a club, sport, or anything really. Other stuff I'm into: fashion, hiking, anything outdoorsy, art, writing music, collecting coins (sorry I'm a boomer).

I can get a bit insecure when in a relationship, so I definitely need someone who's empathetic, honest, and reassuring. My love language is definitely quality time so I prefer someone who's interested in the same things as me, or has things that they're passionate about that I can get involved in! I try not to be clingy but I don't mind if my partner is. I've only dated people who were a bit older than me, so I guess that's my type? Emotional maturity is a big plus for me.

Julius!!!!

Honestly what got me was the not liking drama but that you love hearing about it because Julius is definitely a gossip. Also the fact that you're in extrovert who gets along with everyone! So is Julius and I think he'd like a partner that's the same as him in that respect. That way he could take them with him where ever and not worry that they're uncomfortable. Julius is also master at dad jokes sooooo... He (and Marx) might also do well with a more organized partner since he can be a bit scattered at times.

I can't think of a Black Clover character more emphatic, honest or reassuring than Julius. He's also very emotionally mature, especially in relationships. While his busy schedule might make it hard for him to spend a ton of time with you he'll make it up by throwing himself in your passions so the quality time is extra special. Is pretty clingy when he does see you because he misses you.
