Where There Is Life In the end, we managed to hold our graduation for the 3 boys remaining in our ICT class. Our class originally had 10 boys but after we met the police, went to court and visited the people our boys had wronged, some of the cases were dropped by some of the complainants. Last month, I only managed to cycle 9 times and failed to keep up with my preparation for this year's Half Way Cycle event that will kick off on December 12, 2019. I've been caught up with our prison REAM Program. Much as I felt bad not cycling, I am also glad I helped settle our incoming class of 13 boys into our program. Chasing After the Baby Faced Thug 3 days ago, *Bernardo Silva left a criptic message at the police station where he had been held. First, Silva managed to bail his way out before he was taken to court. Secondly, the Occurrence Book didn't had his dad's full name instead of his. Thirdly, the police know it is only a matter of time before Silva gets killed, either by an angry crowd or the police While his mom is yet to completely walk away, I don't know why Silva is still on my to-do list. Behind Every Back of the Head Lies a Blossoming Flower My heart often aches to show the smiling faces of our exceptional young men. In another lifetime maybe, I'll gladly be able to do this. Meeting our boys - Monday to Friday - every week means we have to leave home at 6:40 am and cone back at 5 pm. Much as you're not able to see their faces, these are some of the most wonderful teens we are having the honor to work with. They're someone's son, brother, nephew and on the near future, someone's son in law, brother in law, uncle, husband and dad. Though they've committed costly mistakes, these exceptional young men are flowers that need water, and sunlight to blossom into pure beauty. Finally home after a long day at KYCTC for @lifesongkenya REAM Program. A lot happened today. Kevin Ochieng and Anthony Hall aka Grandpa Stork continued crafting Dragon EGGs while I spent an hour with one of our boys who has 3 more months left before exiting juvenile prison. We have ran out of money and couldn't afford to buy lunch. It was hard, but we managed to soldier on back home. At some point, the hunger were pangs were so severe I had double vision.
