Bad Memories

Just a normal day at Sawada Law and Co. Currently not handling any cases, The young 14 years old lawyer just checking the documents about the previous cases that she or her chief handle before.

A certain case managed to catch the girl's attention, she decided to take it and give it a slight look. That turns out it was the case she handled for the first time in her carrier, Koharu took a breath and exhale it in a "sweat drop" face.

"Ah yes.. this was a really big case that caused a riot back then.."

Then, she took a breath again and exhale it once more.. feeling uneasy. It's not like her to exhale that much and feeling uneasy without any reasons? Is it because she was bored that she haven't accepted any cases lately? No, that's not it. Koharu isn't the type who gets bored easily like Shokichi.

Koharu really enjoyed her carriers, even her carrier often made her busy that she can't go play or killing times unlike teenagers in general.. she's still enjoy it.

Is it because the moments on her first trial? Yeah, in fact there are some moments that made her uneasy (even to the point feel guilty) but nah.. It's not because of that..

Then what?

"..Koharu? What's wrong? Are you feeling not well today? If you caught a cold, you can go home and get some rest"

A woman spoke words that managed to get Koharu awaken from her overthinking time. The woman was Koharu's boss, who also is Koharu's mentor, that inspired her to be a lawyer.. The chief of the agency, Mia Sawada.

"…Oh, it's nothing.. Chief, really.. I'm fine.." seeing her subordinate's reaction. Mia just answered "Just spill the tea, Koharu.."

"Ah that's.. I just had thought about my past.."

"…Is it about Ayame again?"

"No, it's.." before resuming her words, Koharu took her phone from her pocket and showed her chat with her old friend to Mia "It's about my former school… Actually.. I got a message from my close friend, apparently the academy will hold school festival event on this Saturday"

"School festival, ah I get it. It's almost the date.. then, I presume this old friend of yours invited you to pay a visit there?"

"Yes, that's right. But.." Mia decided to move from her desk and sitting on next to her subordinate "I know you have bad memories more than the happy ones when you were still a student back there, but if you still doesn't want to pay a visit.. it's totally okay. Just say to your friend that you're busy or something"

"But.. isn't it rude for me to say that to you, Chief?"

"How's so?"

"You know, I got accepted into the law academy because of you, chief.. Because you're part of the family who owned that academy for generations. You're the first person who acknowledged me, also it's all because of you.. I've reached this far.

But.. honestly, I don't want to go there again. I totally knew that my old friend isn't like them at all, he always treated me nicely and never compared me to my older siblings or my parents. But knowing that still.. I don't want to go there again, sorry.. Chief.." Koharu lowered her head, considering that what she had just said was disrespectful to her superior. Even so, Mia put her hand to Koharu's right shoulder.

"Why did you apologized for?"

"…Eh?"

"It's not rude at all, considering the experiences you've been through.. If the academy is really my family's, so what? That's totally irrelevant with your entire memories back then at the academy.

It's really natural if you doesn't want to go there.. I told you right? Just say to your friend that you're busy or something"

"…"

"I'm sure he can understand your situation, but if you decided to pay a visit.. you can just go meet him, and don't spend too long in there"

"…Oh, yes.. I can do that. Uhh.. I was so stressed that I can't even thought of something so simple as that.." Hearing her words, Mia just let out a giggles and laughed.

"You were so stressed, so it's natural if you can't thinking straight. Oh, how about you invite you two childhood friends as well? You did told me that one of them wanted to see how the academy looks like then with them, you wouldn't feel scared if you bump into "them", right?"

Koharu smiled gladly after she heard her mentor's advices, Mia was always so nice to her. She never compared Koharu to anyone else even her family, The chief always told her..

"You're you, it's irrelevant to who your family are"

Just thinking about that, it always managed to make Koharu relieved. Enough with the deep thinking, Koharu went straight to look at her boss "..Yes, I'll do that. Thank you very much for the support as always.. Chief"

"Haha, don't sweat it. I'll always support you. No matter what"

Actually, I'd love to make this as a short comic. But I can't post anything for now, because I have so many stuffs to deal in rl for now. ((And currently I don't have any designs for Mia hahah))

And why I named Koharu's mentor Mia? Cuz I love Mia from Ace Attorney, just like I named Koharu because I love Koharu Sakuragi from Pokemon Journeys

Hi! Thank you for liking Kaima even he's feared by his surroundings (including his siblings and best friends, if he gets angry). Honestly as the author i feel like i still have to rewrite his character because im not satisfied yet (Including the other characters too).

Okay, enough. I have an idea where he's acting kind and friendly to his best friends and siblings. So here we go!

Even If it's Just Once

This story takes place 2 years ago, when the oldest Saimatsu child, Ayame still alive and well

Today at The Momota Household, The Boys doing their usual (ruthless) training along with Keiji and Mako. Somehow Ayame also joined them. Well, more like watching and cheering for them especially for her little brother as spending her time off from her carrier.

Yeah, it's break time finally. Although it's only 10 minutes, but during those break time.. Ayame and Kaima were sitting next to each other. The two close friends discussed about something…

"You really enjoying this, Ayame nee-san.. Is it really fun to watched us training?" Kaima asked as he sat down next to Ayame.

"Yeah, it's been awhile since the last time I watched you guys! Watching something you like always managed to release your stress, don't you think so, Kaima-kun?" Ayame replied with her usual friendly smile.

"Well, you're not wrong"

"Btw, Kaima-kun…" Ayame's expression changed from happy to thinking as she said that "I've been thinking about this.. for a long time"

"….Eh?"

Ayame's face grew closer to Kaima's, making him blushed a bit "You know? I think you actually can make friendly face, like your brother and father always do"

"Huh? Why did you say that…?"

Ayame stared Kaima's eyes deeply, observing every inch of his eyes "Because.. despite of your look, you're really a kind guy and can be friendly if you want to.. Somehow I knew it, your eyes radiate a good heart" as she finished her words, The young musician's smile returned and she moved her face away from Kaima and then returning her composure.

After Ayame's action earlier the in-training soldier turned his face away from her… A bit 

"..The book cover and its contents are not necessarily the same, so that's kinda irrelevant right?"

"Hm, I agree but.. After this break ended, why don't you trying to be expressive to them? Even if it's just once?"

--Hearing that statements, Kaima turned back his face to Ayame. With surprised expression

"Huh why?"

"I'm not telling you to be always expressive, but just once. Try it, try something that you never tried before. If you wanted to continue it or not.. it's up to you. The important thing is just try it first. It's such a waste if you don't try something different while your life it's just only once, right? 😊"

Hearing their various amazing reaction, Kaima exhaled his breath, even they've completely lost their will to continue the training session.

"Huh… Just as I thought, it's better if I'm not expressive like that. Ayame nee-san.. really not like me."

"Hm.. their reactions were rude.. actually, but it wasn't bad to try, right? Or you never know it"

Note : Kaima actually can be expressive, in a certain situation (And that's just a smile)

Shuichi : “Loudest cry.. Ah, those are nice memories. Right, Kaede?”

Kaede : “Yup! Our children have been grown up into a fine person! Im so happy, even our little youngest Koharu managed to reached her dream! Remembering those memories makes me want to go back to those precious times again! Don’t you think so, Honey?” 

Shuichi : “Yup, Come to think of it, they're all just as loud but even so, All of our children does have beautiful voice even since they were babies”

Kaede : “Hmph! ^^”

KAIMAKI

Maki : “...All of theirs were loud. Even someone as calm as Kaima were used to be so loud too, believe it or not. But they were really worth to make my ears cracking up. That also helped me to woke up this sleepy idiot of course”

Kaito : “Guess they got it from their galaxy daddy! They’re my children after all! they must have inherited that side of me!”

Maki : “...But Keiji’s was the loudest one, ever. His cry was 3 times louder compared to his siblings. I still remembered clearly whenever Keiji cried, ....We always immediately jumped from our bed. no matter how tired we were..”

Kaito : “Well, he’s the one who takes the most of my genes! Proud daddy!”

Maki : “...No wonder Keiji grew up to be a super energetic and noisy kid. When he was still a baby, he won’t stop crying more than 3 hours until his energy completely gone... gosh”

Kaito : “But don’t you think those are really beautiful memories? I mean... look, how much our children grow up. They’ve gotten so big!”

Maki : “...Hm, I cant disagree with you though”

Kokichi : “Kicchan’s was the one who had the loudest cry! Even his cry wasn’t like normal babies but like ORA ORA ORA instead, well.. of course it’s a lie. but Im half honest here!”

Himiko : “Well yeah, Both of them were used to be so loud. even to the point sounds like a roaring dinosaur. Nyeh... because Kokichi also joined crying with the kids whenever theyre crying just to mess with me..”

Kokichi : “Welp, if I didn’t do that my hair will become gray soon! So that wasn’t bad at all right, Himi-chan~?”

Himiko : “.....Do you want to sleep outside tonight, dear? Looks like i wont let you sleep in our bedroom tonight”

An only Momota dog, Mars the husky retriever mix breed just tilted his head innocently at Keiji's complaint.

"Seriously! The hell is wrong with Nii-chan and Mako?! They've been ignoring me since I woke up today!! Even that Mako said…"

Keiji approached his siblings who were sitting in the living room while doing their daily activities

"Nii-chan, what's training for today?"

"Nii-chan?"

No response

"Uh… Nii-chan, did you hear me?"

Keiji keeps his eyes on his brother 'What is he exactly doing..?' he thought 'Maybe he's wearing an earphone or something?' …Keiji frowns his eyes to make sure once again

'Nah, he's not wearing it'

Starting to get annoyed, Keiji inhaled some oxygen then exhaled it with his voices

"Kaima Nii-chan! Did. You. Even. Heard. Me????"

Still, no response.

"Ah c'mon!!"

Uh oh, the little girl with darkish (?) purple hair seemed to be rubbing her right ear with her free hand. 'Oh, finally a response. Although it's Mako's not Nii-chan's' Keiji think, but it turned out…

"Kai-nii, did the wind just passed by just now?"

"Because I was really annoyed, I decided to do volleyball training. I strengthened my spike than usual so they won't ignoring me then scolding me, but the results were just the same!! They really ignored me!!"

As he said that, Keiji heard that his phone just made a notification sound. Hearing that, he immediately checked his phone.

Oh, it's a message from Yuno! Let's read it…

"I have things to do right now, can you not disturb and just leave me alone?"

Keiji's heart just ripped to half, his soul, and body feels like it breaks into pieces and ends up flying in the blue sky. Seriously? Not only his siblings, now Yuno also ignoring and told him to leave her alone?

That's just.. harsh.. usually Yuno isn't that rude to him, if she was embarrassed she just told him to leave her alone for a bit but their relationship still normal like usual, not like that

"SERIOUSLY?! EVEN YUNO?! HOLY ATUA WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?!" Keiji screamed as he threw his phone to bed with full strength, extremely annoyed.

"Did I do something wrong to them and Yuno, but--!! or just--- !! Argh, dammit!! Imma out now!!" Keiji then changing to his casual outfit, grabbing his bandana, phone, and wallet and go out from his room with extremely annoyed walking style.

"Leave me alone, Mars!! Don't follow me!!"

Hearing loud footsteps on stairs, Mako just listening to it. Knowing about Keiji's intention, but even Keiji already knew the answer, he still checked on his siblings.

That's it, they're really ignored me! I don't care!

It's been 4 hours since Keiji left the house. during these times, Keiji went to a few places to release his stress and doing his own time. Such as game corner, department store to buy some food for lunch and etc. Spending time for himself only, alone.

Right now, He's at the park. Leaning his both arms to the balcony with crossing arms pose, just looking at he view. An expression between melancholy and annoyance 'painted' on his face.

"Just what the hell is happening today? My siblings suddenly ignored me without any reasons, and Yuno have done something harsh on me… Seriously, Today's the worst day!"

"Keiji!"

Hearing his name was described, Keiji turned his face to the source "Tou-chan?" And then he approached his dad.

"Aren't you supposed to help Kaa-chan at the orphanage?"

"Ah that…" Kaito massaged his scalp "Your Kaa-chan's works already done, though there's still a half of them. So she told me to go home first to watch you and your siblings"

"I see.."

"Besides what're you doing here? I heard your scream, I was worried and it turned out you're fine. Thank goodness. Where are your siblings? They're not with you?"

Ah, siblings. That words successfully made Keiji's annoyance coming back to him. Even though his meeting with his father managed to reduce that feeling, it's no use. The boy pouting annoyingly. Keiji answered Kaito's question by lowering his face.

"…That's why I'm here, Nii-chan and Mako had ignored me all day. It's as if I'm talking to the walls, They act like I'm no longer in this world.."

"Hey, don't say that!"

"It's the fact, Tou-chan! Even Yuno… She said something rude to me.. I don't even know what's going on.."

Kaito put his hand to Keiji's head and rubbing it, intending to comfort his son

"First, let's go back. Let Tou-chan talk to your siblings, maybe we also can talk about your problem with Yuno too, yeah?" Kaito said with his usual smile

Sky's getting darker which means it will be nighttime soon, The father and son heading home together.. As they arrived in their home..

"..It's weird, why is so dark? Did Kai forgot to turned on the lamps?" Kaito said, then he opened the door..

Mars jumped on Keiji to the point that he fell to the floor, his siblings along with Ouma siblings greet Kaito and Keiji in the door.

"Congrats, Kei-chan! You're pranked haha!" Kichi said with his usual annoying tone and smirk

"H--huh? Kichi Nii-chan? And what? I was--"

"Yup, you're pranked. Kei-nii.. by all of us" Mako cut his words and continuing Kichi's words "Wh--what?!" Then Yuno approached him as Mars get off Keiji and stay next to him.

Yuno sighed in guilty feelings, and squatted down in front of Keiji "It's all… Onii-chan's ideas"

"Kichi Nii-chan's..?"

"Well, he did this whole thing just because.. he was bored" Kaima continue explaining "Your birthday was last week, and he hasn't sent you birthday message.. right? But.. just because this shitty red panta was bored, he thought it would be boring if he just said 'happy birthday' to you. So he came up with this plan called me and Mako last night"

In Kaima's room

"What? You want us to prank Keiji by ignoring him whole day?"

"Yup, I forgot to sent him a birthday message. Wouldn't be interesting to make it more 'fun'? Well, I'm not going to roast him this time and pranks are not my taste too"

"But ignoring him whole day it can be said as roasting too in different angle, you know? Considering Kei-nii's personality.."

"Mako has point, Kichi"

"Well, I do admit Pranks are less interesting than roasting but, a prank with roasting spice.. wouldn't it'll be taste good? I'll end it with the best surprise, so don't worry~"

"Me and Mako reluctantly agreed then I had told Tou-san and Kaa-san about this, otherwise we'll wrecked"

"Tou-chan knew about this too?!"

"Yeah, that's why Maki told me to go home first. To check out the situation. That's it. ..Ttaku, Him and his father are not much different"

Suddenly, Keiji hugged Yuno… Tightly. It made Yuno' face into red, and redder like a tomato. It made everyone gasped including Kaito and Mars, Kichi started to take pictures of them from every angle while thinking "Oh my lord, my OTP!!"

"K-K-K-Keiji…?!"

".. It's really annoying that I got pranked but.. I'm glad I didn't do anything wrong to my siblings… And you.. I'm really glad.." Keiji said as he closed his eyes and frowned his eyebrows tightly.

Almost lost control, but she tried to calming herself and hugged Keiji back, Yuno closed her eyes too "…It's okay, you didn't do anything wrong.."

"Hey hey, sorry for interrupting your good moments. But you guys hugging each other in front of us~! And don't forget, Kaito-ossan's watching too!" As Kichi cut off the moment between those two, Keiji and Yuno ended their hugging moment, embarrassed, tried to act 'normal' as the two stand up again.

"Hmph! You should told us soon, Kichi Nii-chan!!"

"Well, I'm really sorry that I've made your day went really bad but~ Let's play volleyball, if you beat me in 2 on 2.. I'll give you an One Piece action figure as your birthday gift. Any objections?"

Getting pumped up, Keiji gladly clapped his fist to his palm. Grinning excitedly "I'll gladly accept your challenge, Kichi Nii-chan! I'll show how mad I am today, I'll unleash it all!"

"Nishishi, although I'm not a pro like you.. I'm confident too to defeat you~ Kacchan, join my side"

"Hah.. fine.."

"Lemme join too! I'm on Keiji's team!"

"Let's go, Tou-chan!"

Makiko, The little gal of The Momota Family currently in D.I.C.E HQ. She's playing the janga with The Supreme Leader, Kokichi Ouma. While continuing her turn, Mako is currently drowning in her thoughts.

"... Leader" her little voice snapped Kokichi's focus on her movement

"Yup?"

"... There's something I've been thinking about, since a long time ago" Mako said while moving her janga piece

"Nani nani?"

"Why did you chose me?" --as she placed the piece on the place she wanted, now it's Kokichi's turn. But he didn't make any slightest movements, currently thinking about one of his subordinates question.

"4 years ago, you said you need children to became your subordinate. But you chose me, why? There's also Kai-nii who was also a child. Obviously Kai-nii's better than me.. I don't understand, why did you chose me instead of other kids?"

Ah, those statements...

Did I heard it somewhere before?

"Hm.. although you didn't understand about it, but the fact you're still working under me, no?"

"Because you wanted me, right? And it's not like you have any bad intentions or something..."

The Supreme Leader smirked at the little gal's answers. Well, she's still a child after all. She looks like her father just now. Haha. How pure... He thought.

"Nishishi, if you want to know it that much.. Find it yourself~!" Kokichi said as he pulled one of janga piece and the whole janga fell off, leaving Mako gasped at his answers.

"And.. I hafta gather the other members! It's meeting time! Prepare yourself, Mako-chan. We're going to war~" Kokichi smirked as he got up from his chair and left the room.

"Uh... yeah. I'll be there soon"

As the door closed, Mako confused at her leader answers but.. one thing that already clears for her.

"Oji-san... He.. did that on purpose? Just why?"

Why is Keiji Never Afraid of his Volleyball Coach?

The Coach of Keiji’s Volleyball Coach is feared by the whole of Keiji’s teammate. The Coach is known as “The Strict and Scary Women”. For her, Punctuality is very important, because the slightest delay will reduce the practice time. Her training menu are also drain the student's stamina, She’ll make her student running around the school field about 10-30 laps and etc.

But even so, Keiji never scared of her, he always obeyed her and seems carried out every of her order happily and easily. Even after the training done, he always said “Not yet, Coach! Im still full of energy here!!” successfully made his teammates (also The Coach) always surprised. Well, Everyone knew that Keiji has large amount of Stamina but... Isn’t this weird?
