                 "i know you know what i am.” it came out quietly, almost like she didn’t want to say it. almost like it felt ... poisonous on her tongue. like she was admitting something she didn’t want to admit, something she feared intensely. and yet, if she kept quiet .... something could happen. “i know you. you’re not stupid ..... i may be tricky, but you’re too smart for this.” laughing to herself, it was more of a bitter sound, looking down at her hands and then back up at the one she was talking to. “why aren’t you afraid of me? why don’t you run away? you know what i do, you know what i feed on ... so why aren’t you scared?”

“god, this color looks amazing on you.” evangeline gently swipes the brush over their eyelid, making sure every speck is perfectly in place and perfectly blended. she’s had a lot of practice, on herself and on others, so the challenge here isn’t making the other look good. it’s being this close to the other without accidentally letting any of her feelings slip out. “this is definitely a more complicated look, but i kind of just wanted to have fun. i’ll teach you easier stuff too.”
