Thinking about Luxu’s horrid loss of innocence and how it transformed him from a hopeful youth wanting to save the worlds and ultimately bring about peace despite the woeful prediction of the Master—into a tired, emotionally-stunted creature who has adopted so many lives and so many personas that sometimes he doesn’t even know who he is anymore underneath all of the lies, and can now only laugh through the tragedy of his existence

Thinking about Kuja’s cruel origins and his desire for validation from the moment of his creation, his subconscious yearning to find completion, his belief that his only path in his life was to embrace his mounting narcissism and wickedness in waging a war involving unforgivable suffering, as it was all that he knew (though this does not excuse him of course), only to emerge at the brink of death, alone and afraid and unable to escape his fate

Conspiracy Theory: MoM didn’t actually tell Luxu what was in the Box, and only said something like “I’ll tell you when you’re older,” which accounts for Luxu’s overt reaction, and the “youuu’ll seee” in turn.
