      He was right. Despite all the terrible things that Remi had seen in the past 24 hours, Ash had managed to keep them safe and keep them out of the face of danger. It was probably the only reason he wasn’t crying in fear right now - if anyone could protect him, he had faith that it would be Ash Williams. After all, he had managed to this far.

      It was strange to meet someone else who actually believed him when he said he saw something awful - monstrous. His parents always blamed it on hallucinations. This man believed him though. Could even see them too. It brought some sort of... relief, almost. I’m not crazy.

      Remi shifted slightly, not daring to move much for fear of making noise. “Mr. Williams, sir?” He hesitated for a few moments. “Thank... thank you for keeping the monsters away.”
