For those fake screenshots you make is there any sort of art tip/trick or filter that makes it that sort of texture/look? I’m trying me hand at doing one and I feel like it’s missing that sort of “fake cartoon feel” I’m not sure if I’m describing what I mean correctly sorry if it’s a bit confusing

I find it's best to approach a fake screenshot like you're actually animating it... So going through a similar process absolutely helps. This means keeping the background on a separate layer from your characters, and drawing your characters FULLY even if they're being covered up. You can choose to cut corners wherever you want, but I find this makes things feel more "real"

Using pens without anti-aliasing also helps! It's part of the animating process and makes coloring easier, and then the lines are re-aliased at the end (which can be achieved in my next tips->)

I learned this from someone else, but if you're going for a slightly aged cartoon, or a screenshot that's been taken a couple times, do this:

First, take your ENTIRE drawing, and duplicate it onto its own layer

Then, apply a motion blur to this new layer. Play around with it as much as you want!

Set your blurred layer to "color"

This gives you a neat looking CRT effect! For an extra boost, let's alias those lines. Merge your two layers.

Apply a gaussian blur (again, play with this until it looks right)

And now you have an older looking screenshot!

For a final detail I like to mess around with color balance, just to make things more cohesive or worn. Completely depends on the look that you want! Hope this helped.

Hello! I love your art, it’s beautiful and so stylized! I especially love the legend of avantris content and I’m trying to get into it! But I don’t know where to start? Ive started listening to once upon a witchlight but I’m confused, is it the first one or is it a sequel? Can I start there or do I need to watch/ listen to something else first? I'd say there isn't really an order to legends of Avantris, you can pretty much start wherever you want. OUAW is a good starting point cuz it isn't extremely lore heavy!

If you wanted to start chronologically, I'd say go and look for the "official" timeline over on their discord. Otherwise, start with whichever one feels right.
