Oh woww thanks to @/hacked-by-jake I came across your account and discovered you've written a soulmate au! I'm a sucker for this au and I can't wait to read it when I need a breather 💮 have a great day!
I meaannn.... Compared to some of your amazing works I've read, my writing is still so mediocre and I'm becoming more aware of the possible mistakes or instances where I might drone a little bit too much and made the story draggy, so much so that I'm internally sweating lmao.
Tumblr media
^ an accurate representation of my inner state of being
Anyway, I live for a good soulmate!AU too, so if anything, thank you for wanting to give my story a read!😌😌

Chapter 9 Azure's story
A/N: I'm tired but here you go the next chapter! ;)
@jakelogic @robbybarnes @hacked-by-jake @amelia-bluebell-rw47vr @booklover-01040 @mysticpetals @jakeismylover @yuvon-augold79 @duskwood-legacies @aesthetics-crow @zmayadw @noface8834 @nym0sgirl @heymisssing
(I don’t forget anyone right?-)
Genre: Uhm...A little angst? Character(s): Jake, Azure, Lilly
Tumblr media
*JAKE'S POV*
I find myself in the bathroom crying on myself like a baby after a fight with parents. I don't like expressing emotions like that, I still remember my parents' ugly stereotypes about boys not crying. I feel like a fountain, my face wet and my hair clinging to damp cheeks. I hiccup and feel weak. Just thinking about the woman I loved and who betrayed me, leaving me with a little girl. I'm scared for the future. I don't feel quite ready, but I have to be strong for Azure, I repeat to myself.
I put my solid hands in the sink, so hard that my hands turn red. I look in the mirror, eyes red as much as I cry. How disgusting. I give myself a cold look, almost destroying myself with my eyes through the mirror.
“Why do you act like this??” I raised my voice, spitting. And then cry again. Grinning while lowering my head.
Someone knocks on the door. Slowly, I almost didn't hear it.
I'm a mess, I try to wipe my tears with the sleeve of my sweatshirt.
"Forward." I shake my head to look at the door.
Azure. Scared. She took a few steps back.
“Ehm…We're gonna eat…” She said, sliding her gaze to the floor.
“Thank you.” I replied with a smile, hiding the cry I just let out.
She runs away.
I close the door leaving a long sigh.
Is love really that poisonous?
—--
I reached the kitchen, I saw the armored table with food and cutlery. Lilly and Azure are sitting and they penetrate me with their eyes.
I sat down, the scent of the fish gently penetrating my nose.
The kitchen was now silent, the white wall was fine with the silence.
"So, Azure." Lilly began, abruptly cutting the silence. “You got another note today...What did you do? " She asked, raising an eyebrow.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw Azure clench her fist, maybe she didn't know what to say?
She didn’t respond.
She let out a long sigh. "I'm worried about you, you MUST do your homework and care about them.” Although Lilly and I have recently joined, I could hear despair in her voice.
I look at Azure, waiting for an answer.
She looks at me, trembles. Look down, with a look full of pain.
I could see how she trembled to answer, the answer ready at the tip of her tongue. But she would never go out, and she knows it too.
She gave another sigh and left the kitchen leaving us alone.
Azure frowns, and without giving me time to answer, she runs away slamming the kitchen door.

Just came across the demo and I have to say that I'm really intrigued by the story! The synopsis is brilliant and everything so far has just made me want to read more. The ROs seem very interesting 👀 and I can't wait to learn more about them all. Except for a few tine grammatical errors (that aren't that noticable), the story flowed really nicely and I'm definitely 100% hooked. Thank you for your work and I'm looking forward to see where you take it 💗
Thank you, I'm very happy that you liked the story ♥ ️I understand what you mean, English is not my native language, so I'm still getting used to the different grammatical rules. 😂🧡

Azure's story Chapter 12
@jakelogic@robbybarnes @hacked-by-jake@amelia-bluebell-rw47 @booklover-01040@mysticpetals@jakeismylover @yuvon-augold79 @duskwood-legacies @aesthetics-crow @zmayadw
Genre: Angst, sad
Character(s): Charlie, Cleo, Azure
!TW: DEEP THOUGHT! (?)
Tumblr media
*Charlie’s POV*
A small pastry shop welcomes me.
Without thinking about it, I immediately cross the threshold and the door behind me closes due to the currents of wind.
"Hi Charlie." A familiar voice catches my attention.
"Hi Cleo." I reply with a half smile, not knowing what to do exactly.
"What are you doing around here?" She asked as she walked over to the candy display.
"Me, Rachel and Azure were supposed to meet here." I said and sighed deeply.
Rachel at school today told me why Azure was crying, told me to meet you here to talk about the plan. I'm still very unsure about the plan, it looks like a hole in the water and it looks like it's not going well.
I cross my arms across my chest and rest my head in the glass behind me. I breathe another sigh.
Cleo doesn't seem to have missed these details.
"Are you thoughtful today?" She asked, approaching me.
"I really think so." I replied, thinking about the situation.
I am stuck in my house, by people who have raised and loved me. But for some reason it all turns upside down for arguments that seem to last forever. I curl up in my room as I hear my parents arguing in the next room. I hear the silence and with a little strength I get up, but sometimes not. I only see my father smiling as if nothing had happened but he is not used to lying and looks innocent of any harm. My mother is good at lying, you never know when the smile is fake. She knows how to charm and forces you to think that everything is fine. But it isn't. I see her with dull eyes like the light of hope inside me, her light green eyes now seem light gray. She is blind from having known the true taste of love. I feel alone in a black hole because I cannot escape from this situation, created exclusively by my parents.
I cried all day on my own.
"You must be strong, Charlie. You are a strong child."   She kneels in front of me.
Maybe yes, or maybe not.
It all looks like a surrealist painting where I am the protagonist. My parents are in a rage of love, they fight and they don't know how long they can last. The other two people who 'care' for me are focused on making a plan that doesn't work completely and it seems like a kind of masochism because the Man Without will kill us as soon as he did with Daria.
It all seems so surreal. I start thinking outside the box and it looks like I'm going to go crazy.
I look at the void but I manage to formulate something. "I will try.".
Cleo gets up and goes to the window to peek out.
"Looks like nobody's here today." She said as her face was completely attached to the glass.
I look out just to see fog upon fog.
Duskwood is absolutely peaceful as a place, there is very little. We almost all know each other. I have visited all the streets of Duskwood except the forest. I'd like to go out of Duskwood.
"True." I said.
"Why do you want to meet Rachel and Azure?" Cleo asked, blurring the mood.
"Oh, we need to talk about homework." I invent something, the only thing I want is for someone to figure out the plan.
I look wide. She looks at me and nods.
"Do you want to eat something while you wait?" She asked as she walked back to the counter.
"Sure, but I don't have any money." I shrug my shoulders.
"Don't worry, I offer for you and your friends."  She said with a smile afterwards.
I smiled to her.
I go to the counter to peek at the window full of different sweets. The dessert I like best has always been Galbani. An excellent dessert filled with cream.
"I'll take a Galbani and a drink..."
"I can advise you to drink if you want." She said as I looked up.
"Yes, thanks." I said.
"Ginseng is a type of coffee, have you ever tried it?" She asked.
"No, never heard of it." I said curiously, "I'll take it."
"Good." She started making coffee.
The pastry shop echoes the noise of the coffee machine. I smell chocolate.
The smell makes me feel happy to remember the good memories.
Someone opens the door. I turned around and I saw Azure.
“Hi.” She approaches me.
"Where's Rachel?" I ask.
"She is coming, she is preparing a map." She whispered to me as soon as she saw Cleo.
"What?" I ask with a strange face.
"Hello Azure." Cleo said when she saw her out of the corner of her eye.
“Hi…” She replied.
"How are you?" Cleo asks.
"Well..." Azure replied, a lie.
"How's Lily doing?" Cleo asked again.
"I don't know," Azure replied, "But I think fine..?"
Cleo nods.
"How are you?" Azure asked, and her expression suggests that she is unsure and has regretted it.
"Fine, thanks." Cleo replied with a smile.
The harness flies in the air. And I can breathe it.
As soon as Cleo started, I grabbed Azure's wrist and dragged her across the table.
"Azure! Why is Rachel making a map?"   I ask her as I feel my eyes widen.
She notices it and gets scared, looks me straight in the eye.
"I think it's for...don't we use a map in the phone to escape."  She replied, in a way that looks like she has honey in her mouth.
All of a sudden I feel like the world has fallen on me, I feel a rejection and this feeling often comes to me as I don't want it often.
I cross my eyebrows and dilate my pupils, why no one can ask me if I agree with something?
"Why didn't you tell me anything?" I ask, trying to create a completely disappointed voice.
She doesn't answer right away, opens her eyes wide and looks at the void. It just gets on my nerves.
I can't think, I just hold the cup of Ginseng in the palm of my hand making it warm.
I take a long sigh. "Well, it's not your fault. It's Rachel's." I say while crossing only the eyebrows.
She looks up at me only to look at me with eyes deep in confusion. "What do you mean?"
"Has she never forced you to do something you don't want?" I ask, with a bit of rudeness in the tone.
She thinks about it for a moment, she certainly doesn't know how to answer. "Perhaps." She shrugs.
"She just wants revenge." I smile without thinking.
She still looks at me confused.
"The faceless man almost killed his father, it is clear that she wants to take revenge." I said.
"Do you think she just wants to use us for her game and then abandon us?"  She asks, her eyes meet mine just to show her confusion at the moment.
Those eyes wanted to make me vomit for how many annoying emotions they hide.
"Probably yes, but you don't want to hear her, do you?"  I ask, threatening her with my eyes.
I can't help but notice how much our simple conversation turns into a threat. All the fault of Rachel and her plan.
Yet I have the feeling that no one will listen to me anyway. Azure doesn't want to give up. And I know why.
"If you don't know how to answer, I'm leaving." I mean, the hand clenched into a fist. So much that I just feel the blood explode inside me.
She looks at me with eyes full of tears. It just annoys me.
I turn around and go.
The emotions are too strong and I just feel a big load behind my shoulders, I can't bear the weight inside and outside my house. Yet my home should be my only free place where I can take refuge from the cruel world. Yet no, it seems that it will never leave you. Like gigantic hands that grab you and drag me into the dark.
So I find myself once again taking refuge in a non-real world that should help me overcome the wounds caused by this too cruel world.
Welcome to my bittersweet world where nothing is as real and not as loving as you think.

.:Character(s): Jake, Lilly, Hannah, Azure (My OC), Richy, Dan and Charlie (My OC)
.:Genre: Comedy (?), maybe a little sad? Not sure tho .-.
.:TW: !LITTLE MENTION OF ALCHOOL!
Tumblr media
*Jake’s POV*
The smell of cigarettes echoed in the air, each exhalation felt like a relief from something I now have to accept. Each exhalation felt like a threshold. My eyes tingled with exhaustion, my body ached from all the scarring, my mind felt like a big basket full of sadness and negativity that I've been carrying around all this time. I felt imposing, powerless to do anything.
I feel like I am absent from this world, as if I have neutralized myself in it.
My throat itches from too much smoke, my fingers tingle with the cigarette as the air hits me in the face. My clothes are dirty, I haven't changed in a long time. I hadn't slept in a lot, the dark circles spread almost under the black mask.
After a cigarette after the other, after a thought to the other came a metallic sound that made me return to reality. Hannah called me.
<< hey. >> She rang out in a robotic voice.
<< Hello. >> I answered while I brought the phone to my ear.
<< You are late. >> She pointed out.
<< I know, I'm on my way. >> I said while I got up from the damp sidewalk I grabbed my backpack and started walking.
<< Okay. See you soon. >> She replied before closing the phone with a big sigh.
As I walked the backpack I was carrying unattended, the laptop was banging against my back the whole time my gaze was fixed on the sidewalks. The hood made me warm from the lights above me from the shops. My feet felt like stone from what I had run that day, and it was now a habit since I had to escape from the government. The sound of people talking ethics the vehicle, they talked so loud you couldn't hear my heavy feet stepping on the nearby pavement. My head almost bursts from the heavy thoughts I had.
A Chinese shop was in my view, it reminded me of something that immediately made me nostalgic.
The place where I invited Summer to eat Chinese, for the first time.
My heart throbbed with the nostalgic memory, a bittersweet taste hit it as deeply as a ruined blade stabbing it.
But someone too familiar comes out of the restaurant's two large doors, Hannah. She welcomed me in a tight embrace, without even letting me record what happened.
"I missed you, big brother." She said as she squeezed closer to me, a broken voice as if she was about to cry at any moment.
I did not answer, I could not formulate anything for the many thoughts I had inside my head. I had heard her on the phone, we had talked a lot about Summer with all her friends ... The gang, as Summer called them. I was about to cry too, just remembering Summer and her smile.
I hugged her with one arm as I started texting her back and hid my face in her shoulder.
"You too, little sister." I finally managed to formulate with my sticky mouth for my need to drink, with a little smile on my face.
We hugged for a while, but then there was a recognizable sound of the two doors of the restaurant.
I released the embrace and you see a little girl with orange hair and a black-white sweatshirt approaching us.
"Emh... Hey Hannah, Jessy is asking if you're ready to go in, it's ready." The little girl said as her gaze was straight into her own feet, then turned and walked away without even looking at me.
I was more confused than before. I stammered something to myself as I looked at the now closed door. Then I turned to Hannah.
"Who is that little girl, Hannah?" I asked as I raised an eyebrow.
"Oh," she began as she glared at me for the lights above her. "The time has come for you to talk about it then..." She said as she rubbed her hands in nervousness.
I can say with certainty that I have never felt my heart go so deep as it does now. My heart seemed plunged in pain for the harsh truth, it seemed to have been torn and crushed several times by guilt and incomprehensible emotions.
My fists clenched for all this truth, in anger and sadness. But most of all, Summer cheated on me and died. I thought I was over my death, but it's still too hard for me to accept. She looked at me sadly, but then she took my hand and dragged me into the restaurant like two children in a candy store.
“Don’t worry, brother, we are here for you.” She said to me with a lovely smile and turned to go to our table.
We approached the table, a strong smell of Whiskey penetrated my nostrils and the unmistakable laughter of Dan and Richy etched throughout the room where the gang was sitting.
“Oh look who showed up, our mister hacker is here!” Dan joked as he grabbed a glass next to him.
Everyone stood up to greet me, but the only thing I could really concentrate on here was the little girl next to Lilly, about to try not to be seen.
I greeted everyone and sat next to her, it was the only place. She didn't even look at me, her hair hiding her face preventing her from showing the emotions she was feeling, her fist clenched in the half-torn napkin. She was uncomfortable, I felt it.
But other than that, I was struck by her incredible resemblance to Summer. She looked identical to her in face and eyes, but I can't say for sure given her mask covering her face.
It reminded me of Summer.
After everyone ordered, Dan cleared his throat.
"So what's the name of this beautiful little girl?" He asked as he stared at the little girl.
"Ehm... Azure..." She replied, holding the glass of water solid in front of her.
"Oh okay! Hi Azure!" Richy said with a big smile on his face.
"Hi Richy ..." She replied in a shaky voice.
I can say with certainty that I didn't expect to see her shake, but after Hannah told me her story I understood why. I decided not to say anything so as not to make her more uncomfortable.
After a couple of minutes the food for everyone arrived, Azure and I looked identical because she and I both looked so low that we looked.
“AZUREEEEEE!!!” A child could be heard screaming in the distance, not even time to analyze the fact that a red-haired child is attacking Azure like a mussel.
"Charlie- Easy!" The little girl screamed as she tried to snatch it from herself.
"Someone is excited to see Azure." Cleo said as she unplugged Charlie from Azure.
"Sweetie!" Jessy said as she hugged Charlie, "How did it go with Cleo today?"
“Good!” He exclaimed as he took Azure's hand and tried to lead her somewhere.
"It's ready, Charlie." Richy pointed out as he took his fork and put it in his mouth. "You will play later." He concluded.
"But we'll do it soon!" Said the child as he ran with Azure hand in hand.
"Richy..." Jessy said in an angry voice.
"Okay okay, I get it." He said as he got up and jumped to fetch the two children.
"They are truly amazing." Cleo said with a long sigh in her voice. "He was asking me all day about Azure today."
"He must have fallen in love." Dan joked and giggled a little.
Jessy punched him in the shoulder.
I was not very happy at the thought that Azure had fallen in love.
One thought runs through my mind, did Jessy and Ricky have a baby? But I just reached out and grabbed my coke as I finished the plate.
But a sense of concern ran up my spine.
"So, Jake." Lilly began, "What are you going to tell us about it? What happened after 11 years?" She asked as she raised an eyebrow.
11 years? Has it really been 11 years?! I was shocked that it was so long.
"Nothing in particular." I said as I finished my coke.
When Richy got back with the two brats, they all started talking again. Jokes, their new lives...Nobody seemed to care about Summer, but I could clearly see that they were all defeated by her death.
Azure and I were uncomfortable, but I was less so because I was close to her. I hope I can talk to her one day.
I can also say that the evening went very well, I was too confused and worried about the future. But Lilly said I can stay with her until I find real accommodation.
But the most important thought will remain fixed forever:
I have to protect Aure.
