resun fan playlists
if you look at these carefully, you can pinpoint many things. like when i first watched Inside and when i got back into Blue Oyster Cult. i made them on youtube because i hate spotify and don’t know how to share playlists on Apple Music.
Walker - evil-type beats. From Eden (Hozier), Girl With One Eye (FaTM), Choke (IDKHBTFM), Youth (Daughter), Bad Guy (Billie Eilish), Oh No! (Marina and the Diamonds), Gallery Piece (of Montreal), While My Guitar Gently Weeps (Beatles), House of Memories (PaTD), Call Them Brothers (Regina Spektor), I’m Gonna Win (Rob Cantor), Bad Dudes (Michael Guy Bowman), Purgatory (MGB), C’est Pas Ta Faute (M), Once In a Lifetime (Talking Heads), No Children (The Mountain Goats), Burning Pile (Mother Mother), Everybody Wants To Rule The World (Tears for Fears), Everything Stays (Adventure Time), That Funny Feeling (Bo Burnham), Shit (BB), Black Blade (Blue Oyster Cult), Shrike (Hozier), Verbatim (Mother Mother).
uh, i listen to this playlist probably more than is healthy. i will stand by my picks. Black Blade doesn’t entirely fit, but I wanted to slap some BOC on there, and, like, i think walker wanted to be a lover, not a red-eyed screaming ghoul. Also the trifecta of “hand in unloveable hand” (No Children), “holding hands while the walls come tumbling down” (Everybody Wants To Rule The World), and “the quiet comprehending of the ending of it all” (That Funny Feeling) makes me feel things. Gallery Piece and Burning Pile are probably the ones that feel The Most Walker to me.
Slaoui - less evil-type beats. Running Up That Hill (Kate Bush), Wildfire! (Vocaloid), Santa Monica Dream (Angus & Julia Stone), Toxic (Britney Spears), Elastic Heart (S*a), Body (Mother Mother), Somewhere Only We Know (Keane), Don’t Be So Serious (Low Roar), I Dont Trust U Anymore (Left At London), Everybody Knows (Leonard Cohen), Last Song (Jason Webley), Nothing Left to Say / Rocks (Imagine Dragons), The Sun Always Shines On TV (A-ha), Faking It (MGB), Torture (Les Friction), No Light No Light (FaTM), Poison (Alice Cooper), Like Real People Do (Hozier), Brave As A Noun (AJJ), Always Forever (Cults), This Year (TMG), The Scientist (Coldplay), Old College Try (TMG), White Flag (Dido), Amsterdam (Imagine Dragons), Goin’ Through The Motions (Blue Oyster Cult), Wind (Akeboshi).
a few of these might work better for Kieren, but like, whatever. same guy. i really like the exquisite sense of loss in Santa Monica Dream, and how Always Forever is like. a slightly creepy love song. works well with Slaoui’s power-fueled weird fixation on Walker. i most especially stand by Wind and The Scientist.
the end. please read resun when it comes out. thank you.

This is my very first time publishing my writing on an english speaking fandom so I’m kind of nervous but also I have Feelings about ReSun and I may as well just scream them into the void that is this website. Anyways here’s a short SlaouixWalker story I wrote because i have many emotions about old men with complicated relationships
If the universe had any ounce of fairness, Slaoui thinks, it would cut him some slack from time to time. The universe should look at this very tired man arriving from his very late shift at the hospital and think “This is a very tired man arriving from his very late shift at the hospital, we should give the tired man a nice night of rest” Instead, it gave him a vaguely human-shaped bundle in his couch.
-You need to stop doing this- Slaoui said to the bump on the couch, sighting as he takes of his shoes and throws his bag near the door.
-That’s no way of saying hi, who raised you? - came the answer from the bump, a very Walker-shaped bump he can see now that the lights on the room are on. He also notices the big dark stain on the man’s shirt.
-You can’t just drop by whenever you’re almost dead, asshole- says the very tired man, annoyed. Despite that, he’s already making his way over to the bathroom to retrieve the first aid kid.
-“Almost dead” You’re so dramatic, this is barely a scratch- Walker lies- and I already patched myself up, so just come over here.
Slaoui stops outside the bathroom and sights, weighing his options in his head.
a)      He could just kick Walker out, lock the windows so the fucker doesn’t try to get in by climbing the building, and try to catch as much sleep as he can before he has to wake up for his morning shift.
b)      Go over to the couch and see what it is the other man wants. The answer most probably being to annoy him while his injury heals, which means less precious hours of sleep.
c)       Go to bed and just let Walker whine from the couch. It’s less mean that just kicking him out, he won’t be giving in completely to Walker’s whims and he gets to go sleep right now.
Welp, c) it is. c) is undoubtedly the perfect option, he thinks as he walks over to the bedroom, or it would be if you weren’t such a big idiot softie, he thinks going out of said bedroom with a blanket on his arms.
-Here- he says to the man on the couch, dropping the blanket on him- Now shut up and rest, you look like shit. I’ll go and do the same ‘cause I’ve been at the hospital for 16 hours and have to get up early and if you’re still here by the time I wake up I will finish you myself.
Ok, he made his good deed of the day, now he gets to go on with plan c), he thinks, but a hand stops him.
-Stay with me- Walker says, voice quiet while he weakly holds his hand.
Slaoui could easily just walk away, Walker’s hold having barely any strength.
-Didn’t you hear me? I have an early shift...-
-Kieren- Walker’s voice remains quiet but determined, and Slaoui goes still. Finally, for the third time since he arrived, he sights.
-God, you’re so annoying. Let me go turn off the lights, at least- Walker doesn’t let go- I’ll be back- he reassures, and the other man slowly lowers his arm.
The room goes dark, and as Slaoui kneels next to his old friend a hand finds his once again. He tries to accommodate his head between his arms, resting on the free space on the couch all the while still holding Walker’s hand.
This is fine, he supposes. He can sleep like this, he’ll just have to get changed in the morning or the nurses will start gossiping about him arriving with the same clothes from yesterday. He does the mental math and figures he can sleep at least 5 hours if he falls asleep right now, which would be way, way easier if he didn’t feel a stare drilling holes on top of his head.
-What?- he asks, annoyed, lifting his head to stare back at Walker. Walker holds his gaze for a few seconds before sighting dramatically.
-Ah, you’ve become such a cold old man-
-I’m younger than you, bastard-
-You used to blush up to your ears every time we held hands back then, now you barely react- Walker says with over the top wistfulness.
-S-shut up! I was young and in love and most of the time I had no idea what I was doing!- he tries to defend his past-self pride, very consciously ignoring the warmth on his present-self ears while Walker laughs- I still had some very cool, very suave moments!
-I guess you did- Walker concedes, looking at the ceiling with a small smile still on his lips- Like that time in college when you hissed at a cat that scratched me- Slaoui snorts.
-Really? That’s what you remember as one of my cool moments? Not any of the times I used my powers in some bullshit anime way or some of my very smooth pick-up lines?
-Hey, that was totally a cool moment! That cat ended up scratching up your face and you still gave all of your band aids to me. Young me was totally swept off his feet.
They both laugh wholeheartedly at that, and in the darkness, in the warmth of the familiarity that comes with so many years shared, it almost feels like they’re kids again. The laughs give way to a companionable silence. Walker closes his eyes as his breathing starts to slow down, but Slaoui still has his eyes open, looking at nothing.
-Did you really love me, back then?- Slaoui asks. Maybe it’s the sleep deprivation that prompts the question, or the honesty that comes with dark living rooms after midnight. It doesn’t really matter; the question is already there, floating along with the sound of cars passing outside and the purr of the fridge coming from the kitchen. The silence stretches until Slaoui is sure Walker must have fallen asleep. That’s okay, he thinks, he doesn’t really need to know, the past should remain…
-Yes- Walker’s voice disrupts the quiet. The answer is not sweet and it’s not bitter. It’s not quite bittersweet either. Like water, with no passion, it only tastes like objective truth.
Neither of them talks anymore and before sleep can take over him, Slaoui saves that yes in his heart.
He wakes up to the sound of his alarm going off and is greeted with and aching back, a blanket over his shoulders and an empty couch.
